There be spoilers ahead, so if you have NOT seen the American Horror Story: Asylum finale, do not proceed...
Last week, ShockTillYouDrop.com sat in on a special screening of the American Horror Story: Asylum finale with co-creator Ryan Murphy in attendance. After, he sat down for a Q&A.
You can read most of the discussion about season 3 here, however, I've been sitting on one quote I thought was amusing that tied in to Asylum's finale. And now that the season is over, now is a good time to run it.
When asked if Murphy had an itch to connect Asylum to American Horror Story season one, he shared an early idea the creative team had that did indeed bridge the two seasons.

The entertainment industry is pushing into pilot season, that time when networks load up on material, give the green light order to pilots for potential television shows and, overall, spend a lot of money on projects that might not even happen. While it's tough to tell what will hit and what will miss (most pilots will never been seen beyond a network office), we'll do our best to keep you posted on what might be coming to the small screen near you.

In time the Sixth Gun, the most dangerous of the weapons, vanished. When the gun surfaces in the hands of an innocent girl, dark forces reawaken. Vile men thought long dead set their sights on retrieving the gun and killing the girl. Only Drake Sinclair, a gunfighter with a shadowy past, stands in their way."

Just a few days ago, casting information broke regarding a small screen take on the 2009 horror comedy Zombieland.
Today, Broadcast Now reveals that the series is, indeed, on the way and is being developed by Amazon as an original series.
Planned for 30-minute episodes, the "television" version of "Zombieland" returns the franchise to its original concept of an ongoing serialized comedy adventure. As revealed in the casting breakdowns, Zombieland will blend familiar characters from the feature film with brand new characters specifically for the series.
It appears Amazon doesn't want to be left out of the "genre series" business. This maneuver seems like an appropriate counter to what is brewing at Netflix like Hemlock Grove, an original series debuting on April 19th.

This season of AMC's The Walking Dead has been fairly pivotal in the way it's been introducing elements from Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard's popular comics, for instance, bringing the group of survivors to a large maximum security prison and also introducing the Governor, played by David Morrissey, the counterpart to Andrew Lincoln's Rick over at another community known as Woodbury. (And if you aren't caught up on the the show or haven't read the comics, we'll advise you not read this piece in order to avoid spoilers for the third season so far.)
Anyone who's read the comics knows that the Governor has far more nefarious plans for the "walkers" (or "biters" as the folks at Woodbury likes to call them) and working with the Governor to achieve his yet-to-be-revealed goal is a scientist named Milton, played by Dallas Roberts, another element that hasn't appeared in the comics. We first met Milton in the fourth episode of the season, "Walk with Me," and in the most recent episode "Say the Word," we saw Milton tangling with a "walker" out in the field and showing distaste for Woodbury's choice in recreational pastimes.
