TriStar Pictures has brought online the second trailer for director Brad Anderson's The Call, the suspense thriller starring Halle Berry, Abigail Breslin, Morris Chestnut, Michael Eklund and Michael Imperioli.

In the film, opening in theaters on March 15, veteran 911 operator, Jordan (Halle Berry), takes a life-altering call from a teenage girl (Abigail Breslin) who has just been abducted. She realizes that she must confront a killer from her past in order to save the girl's life. 

Written by Richard D’Ovidio, The Call is rated R for violence, disturbing content and some language.

The trailer for the Brad Anderson-directed thriller The Call, formerly known as The Hive, premiered today and we have it waiting for you inside.

Anderson previously helmed Session 9 and The Machinist and, here, it looks like he's delving into Larry Cohen territory when Cohen was doing thrillers like Phone Booth and Cellular.

WWE Takes On Brad Anderson Thriller The Hive

WWE Studios and Troika Pictures  today announced they will co-produce and co-finance the upcoming thriller, The Hive, starring Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin. Principal photography is scheduled to commence on July 6th in and around Los Angeles.   

The thriller, to be directed by Brad Anderson (The Machinist, Transsiberian), was written by Rich D’Ovidio (Exit Wounds, Thir13en Ghosts) and based upon a story by Rich D’Ovidio, Nicole D’Ovidio and Jon Bokencamp. 

Emergency Call Center Operator Jordan (Halle Berry) takes a call from Casey (Abigail Breslin) a teenage girl who has been abducted and carried away in the trunk of a car. The kidnapping plays out in real time as Jordan and Casey work together to track down the killer in this high stakes thriller.

Halle Berry Officially Enters The Hive

halle berry in the hiveLast October, our brother site ComingSoon.net broke the news that director Joel Schumacher was interested in casting Halle Berry for his thriller, The Hive.

Then, at the beginning of this year, Schumacher dropped off the film and The Machinist director Brad Anderson took the helm.

At the time, it was suspected that Berry would not be available due to scheduling conflicts but, today, Variety confirms that she's back aboard.
