Shadow People

Dallas Roberts is a cool cat.  ShockTillYouDrop.com first encountered the easy-going, amiable actor on the red carpet for The Grey and that was when we had initially talked about Shadow People, a film he had starred in that was awaiting distribution at the time.  He was hopeful it would find a release and, ultimately, it did.  Shadow People hits DVD this week from Anchor Bay.

He plays Charlie Crowe, a radio DJ who unravels a conspiracy about encounters with the eponymous, mysterious beings.  These “Shadow People” were the cause of hundreds of unexplained deaths.  He encounters CDC Epidemic Intelligence Agent Sophie Lancombe (Allison Eastwood), whose investigations entwine her with Charlie’s own discoveries leading them both into a dark world and a decades old cover-up.

Inside, Roberts talks briefly about the film.  Naturally, we couldn't help but inquire about his involvement in The Walking Dead and the forthcoming season three finale.  His answer is pretty great.

March 19th is the day Anchor Bay unleashes Shadow People on DVD and Blu-ray and we have the official trailer awaiting you inside.

Anchor Bay picked up the supernatural thriller Shadow People around May of last year.  The distributor has issued word today that it will release the flick on DVD and Blu-ray March 19th.

According to THR, Anchor Bay has picked up the supernatural thriller Shadow People, directed by Matthew Arnold.

Darclight Films describes the completed project as "a psychological-thriller that explores the rare medical phenomenon known as SUNDS (Sudden Unexplained Nocturnal Death Syndrome). Millions of people across the globe have had encounters with what they describe as dark, shadowy creatures that visit them at night.

Sometimes horrifying, sometimes deadly, these nocturnal intruders have been described as early as man's first recorded writings. But what are they? And what do they want?"

Before he fought off wolves alongside the likes of Liam Neeson in the survival thriller The Grey, Dallas Roberts (The Good Wife) starred in an unreleased upcoming horror movie Shadow People for writer-director Matthew Arnold.

"There is sort of a Pan-Asian myth about these creatures who will kill you in your sleep," Roberts told Shock on the red carpet of The Grey premiere.  "There are three of them and they essentially take your breath away.  I play a radio talk show host who deals with the paranormal who is presented with the notion of the shadow people and is dismissive of it to his ultimate chagrin."
