Following the 2013 Comic-Con poster, Universal Pictures has released an international trailer for Riddick which you can watch inside!

In the September 6th release, the infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he's encountered.

Mark this day, friends.  This is the first San Diego Comic-Con update of the year and we're kicking it off with Vin Diesel and David Twohy's sci-fi creature feature Riddick.  A "Comic-Con poster" has made its debut online and we have it waiting for you inside.  The film doesn't open until September 6th, yet it will have a presence in San Diego, apparently.

Universal Pictures has officially slated Riddick for a September 6, 2013 release. It will hit both conventional theaters and IMAX on that same day.

David Twohy, the writer and director behind the upcoming Riddick starring Vin Diesel, provided followers of his blog with an update on the third film in the Riddick series which began with Pitch Black.  With the update, he provided a peek at the film's logo, both of which you can find inside.

Vin Diesel has taken to Facebook yet again to inform his fans that progress on Riddick is coming along well.  He also shared a new photo from the forthcoming sequel directed by David Twohy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dave Bautista is set to star in Riddick, now shooting in Montreal with Vin Diesel and writer-director David Twohy.

Bautista - a WWE vet - plays a character named "Diaz" in the film.  He'll join previously announced cast members Katee Sackoff, Jordi Molla, Nolan Funk, Karl Urban, Matt Nable, David Bautista, Conrad Pla, Raoul Trujillo and Bokeem Woodbine.

The latest chapter of the saga that began with 2000's hit sci-fi film Pitch Black and 2004's The Chronicles of Riddick reunites writer/director David Twohy and star Vin Diesel (the Fast and Furious franchise).  Diesel reprises his role as the antihero Riddick, a dangerous, escaped convict wanted by every bounty hunter in the known galaxy.

Vin Diesel keeps the Riddick love flowing through his Facebook page, posting yet another image from the third film in the series.

The actor writes, "First time I posted about Riddick was back in 2009, Facebook was fresh...  They were asking me to come to the headquarters to talk about this new concept of communicating with fans. I was proud to lead that wave, yet all I was doing, was opening up about my passion - film.  So this picture of our 2012 production of Riddick, is a cool victory for all of us... it shows that studios can be influenced by your voice."

Vin Diesel has released a second behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the latest Riddick film, now shooting under the direction of David Twohy.

The actors writes, via his Facebook page, "Being king has it's perks... yet an alpha Furyan, must return to his primitive state... that animal side."  Katee Sackoff, Jordi Molla and Nolan Funk co-star in the film.

More details to come, including an official title and plot synopsis confirmation.

Filming is underway on Riddick and Vin Diesel took to his Facebook page to post a behind-the-scenes image of the eponymous character on set.

Diesel is currently shooting the film under the direction of David Twohy, who had helmed the previous Riddick outtings Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick.  Diesel is this time joined in the film by Katee Sackoff, Jordi Molla and Nolan Funk.

As we've stated before, we're not sure if this synopsis still stands as accurate, but this is what was going around at the American Film Market last year: Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.

A new actor is hopping aboard Riddick, the third film in the Vin Diesel-led sci-fi series.

Nolan Funk will co-star in the flick, directed by David Twohy.  His role has not yet been revealed, but he is the latest in a string of actors to join or circle the production.  Kate Sackoff (Battlestar Galactica) and Jordi Molla are also taking on roles.

Riddick experienced a few bumps on its road to principal photography, but the third chapter in the sci-fi series starring Vin Diesel and written-directed by David Twohy is finally back on track.  (If you must know, some disputes over crew being payed halted the production.)  That said, more concept art from the flick has been revealed, via Diesel's Facebook page.
