Britt Robertson is the latest name to be added to Under the Dome's ensemble cast. She joins previously announced Alex Koch, Natalie Martinez and Colin Ford.
According to Deadline, Robertson is playing Angie the waitress who lives in Chester's Mill when a giant invisible dome drops over her home town. The actress appeared in Scream 4 (pictured) and starred in The Secret Circle.
These cast updates for the Stephen King adaptation (airing June 24th on CBS) are great, but I want to know who will play "Barbie" and "Big Jim" Rennie.

The eighth - and possibly final - season of Dexter will welcome British actress Charlotte Rampling, reports EW. According to the site, she will play "a neuro-psychiatrist who specializes in working with young psychopaths and profiling criminals in unorthodox ways. We hear the role has a significant impact on next season’s story."

CBS revealed this weekend that Under the Dome, the series based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, will debut on June 24th 10/9c.
Niels Arden Oplev, the director of the original The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, will helm the first episode. Brian K. Vaughan (Lost) adapted the tome for the screen.
The story tells of a small town in Maine which is cut off from the rest of the world by an invisible dome. With air, food and patience dwindling, societal norms within this town begins to break down.

Oh, Dexter. You corrected yourself early on in season seven, but descended back into your wild "anything goes" attitude, ending on an explosive note that felt like an organic direction. I'm just not sure if I liked the execution of the dramatic turns you made. And now you might have one more season to make things right. Maybe.
It appears not even showrunner Scott Buck knows if Dexter will conclude next season or not. Vulture sat down with the man to get a progress report on season eight and he said, next season "might be the last. That hasn’t been announced yet. We’ve been picked up for one more season, but whether that is the last one or not has not yet been determined."

Based on Dexter season 6's finale, big changes and revelations are in store for season 7. TV Guide spoke to series executive producer Sara Colleton about what's to come, furthermore, what this season is about.
"It is about things he's never experienced before, which are regret, responsibility, shame, betrayal, all of those things. Also, it's the flip side of wanting to be known, and then once you are known, there's a loss of freedom. It comes with heavy responsibility, so he's dealing with a lot of emotions that he's never had before, and never been allowed to feel before or allowed himself to feel before," Colleton told TV Guide. She was also questioned about the series' inevitable finale.

You have to keep an eye on the Facebook page for Dexter, I tell ya. They've got some goodies over there, including the breaking news that Yvonne Strahovski is joining the seventh season of Dexter.
Says the FB page, the co-star of Chuck will appear in a multi-episode story arc in the upcoming seventh season, will play the role of Hannah McKay, a strong, independent woman with a past that she's struggled to put behind her.
Matt Gerald, Ray Stevenson, Jason Gedrick and Katia Winter are other newcomers to the upcoming season.

TV Guide landed a first look at Dexter season 7 and due to the spoilerific nature of the photo, for those who have not season 6 (and if you haven't, um, catch up already!), you'll have to head inside for a look. In broad strokes, the last season ended with Deborah Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) catching Dexter in an interesting situation. The show's producers promise that when Showtime resumes the series this September...we'll definitely see what occurs between the two.

When casting news breaks for Dexter, you have to wonder if the actor getting involved is going to have a long run...or if they're committing to a bit part which ends up on Dexters table wrapped in plastic. Entertainment Weekly reports actor Matt Gerald is joining the cast of season seven. The site says he'll play a "blue-collar violent criminal." But don't expect this actor to appear in simply one episode, apparently he has a multi-episode arc.

TV Line reports some big news regarding the seventh season of Showtime's Dexter.
According to the site, Ray Stevenson (Punisher: War Zone) has joined the cast and he'll play "a high-ranking member of an Eastern European crime ring who arrives in Miami determined to learn who killed one of his associates."
What is this, Sons of Anarchy? While this could possibly be just a small slice of what's to come next season, I'm glad to hear the first news is not "Miami has another serial killer and Dexter must stop him."
