Beneath

An official poster of sorts has been discovered for Larry Fessenden's Beneath, which has been shooting in Connecticut for the Chiller channel.

In the film, a group of young friends commemorating their high school graduation take a trip to the remote Black Lake, their celebration turns into a nightmare with the sudden appearance of a bloodthirsty, underwater predator.  Stuck in a leaking boat with no oars, the teens face the ultimate tests of friendship and sacrifice during a terror-stricken fight for survival.

Variety reports Daniel Zovatto, Mark Margolis, Bonnie Dennison, Chris Conroy, Griffin Newman and Mackenzie Rosman are all set to star in Larry Fessenden's next directing vehicle, the creature feature Beneath.  The last time this multi-hyphenate (he acts, produces and writes) was behind the camera for a feature was The Last Winter six years ago.  With Beneath, he'll tell the story of six kids stuck in a rowboat who are attacked by a man-eating fish.

Chiller continues its push for more original feature films, ordering up a new title based on the work of author Michael Laimo.  The network is developing a made-for-TV feature adaptation of the writer's novel Dead Souls.
