Tom Savini, Gun Media Team Up for ‘Summer Camp’ Slasher Game
Gun Media, the designers behind Breach & Clear, Breach & Clear: Deadline and Speakeasy, have teamed up with horror film icon Tom Savini to announce Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp. The first installment in a series that pays homage to the splatter/slasher movies that dominated the ’80s, Summer Camp is a third-person survival game set in a wooded campground similar to those of Sleepaway Camp, The Burning and the Friday the 13th franchise. Within the campground players take on the role of one of 6-8 teen counselors – or the killer – and are asked to survive the night.

Video Game Review: Alien: Isolation Is Terrifyingly Awesome
Alien: Isolation was met with a lot of resistance when it was first announced. Coming hot off the heels of the disastrous Aliens: Colonial Marines, there was understandably a lot to prove. Well, this week, Alien: Isolation has finally dropped on Playstation, Xbox, and PC, and I am pleased to say that, for the first time, the alien has truly arrived. The game opens up 15 years after the events of Alien. Amanda Ripley, who works as a technician, is approached when the Nostromo’s flight recorder is found and being held at the space station Sevastopol.

FPS ‘The Drowning’ to Get Screen Adaptation
The iOS game The Drowning may be heading to the big screen, reports Deadline. Released last year, the game was a first-person shooter set in the Pacific Northwest where an oil rig accident occurs. Anyone or anything exposed to the oil that washes ashore is turned into zombie-like creatures. Players spend the game blowing away these monstrosities. Deadline says Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt are penning a screen adaptation for Radar Pictures.

The Evil Within Game Continues to Look Great, Here’s a New Trailer
To celebrate the Tokyo Game Show, a new gameplay trailer for The Evil Within – the upcoming survival horror game from legendary game director, Shinji Mikami – has been released. Detective Sebastien Castellanos and his partners are called in to investigate a gruesome mass murder. After witnessing a mysterious force slaughter his fellow officers, Sebastian is ambushed and knocked unconscious. When the video opens, he finds his world has been turned upside down. Fighting for survival in a world where hideous creatures wander among the dead, Sebastian embarks on a frightening journey to unravel who or what is behind this unimaginable evil. The game hits this October 21st.
