Back in June, we got our first look at Late Phases, the English-language werewolf thriller from Adrian Garcia Bogliano (director of the upcoming, wacky Here Comes the Devil).
At the AFM, we spotted a few more images, including a first look at Erin Cummings and Tom Noonan in the film. Also, here’s a new synopsis:
Crescent Bay is not the best place to live out one’s golden years. Once an idyllic retirement community, the secluded neighborhood has been beset by mysterious and deadly attacks. When grizzled war veteran Ambrose McKinley (Nick Damici) moves in, the residents immediately take offense to his abrasive personality. But his take-no-prisoners attitude is just what he needs to survive as it becomes clear that the increasingly violent and patterned attacks are being caused by beasts that are neither animal nor man, and the tight-knit community of Crescent Bay is harboring something truly sinister in its midst…
Yesterday, ShockTillYouDrop.com was the first to break some juicy casting news regarding Adrian Garcia Bogliano’s werewolf pic Lates Phases. Today, the first photo has made its debut. You can check out a larger version after the jump.
In addition to starring Nick Damici, Erin Cummings, Ethan Embry and Tina Louise, the film will also feature Lance Guest, Tom Noonan, Tina Louise, Karen Lynn Gorney, Caitlin O’Hearney and Rutanya Alda.
Erin Cummings (Spartacus, pictured) and Ethan Embry have joined the cast of the werewolf thriller Late Phases, currently lensing in New York for MPI/Dark Sky Films.
The film is the first English-language project for director Adrian Garcia Bogliano, who made a splash on the genre scene with Cold Sweat, Penumbra and the upcoming Here Comes the Devil.
Cummings and Embry join previously-announced cast member Nick Damici (Stakeland). Shock Till You Drop has also exclusively learned that Tina Louise (Gilligan’s Island’s “Ginger”) will appear in the film.
Nick Damici (Stake Land) is set to star in the upcoming Late Phases, the MPI/Dark Sky Films production to be directed by Adrian Garcia Bogliano (Here Comes The Devil, Penumbra).
MPI’s Dark Sky is co-producing with B Productions and Glass Eye Pix.
Shooting is set to start this spring.
When we spoke to Bogliano at Fantastic Fest last fall, he told us: ”I don’t get to read many scripts, but this is the best thing I’ve read in a long time. It’s a werewolf story and it’s exciting because of the focus of the story and the focus of the action. And it’s exciting to work with Dark Sky Films again. I’m working with Zack Zeman who is producing and I’m thrilled.”
