A group of high schoolers invite Mandy Lane (Amber Heard), a good girl who became quite hot over the summer, to a weekend party on a secluded ranch. While the festivities rage on, the number of revelers begins to drop quite mysteriously.
It’s not at all unusual, especially in the horror genre, to have a significant window between a film’s acqusition and its theatrical release. It’s just a bit more extreme in the the case of Jonathan Levine’s directorial debut, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, which heads to theaters today, more than seven full year after its debut at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival.
Amber Heard and Anson Mount headline the indie thriller, which features a screenplay by Jacob Forman. Heard is the titular Lane, a sweet, good-natured high school student who has become everyone’s dream girl. As if she doesn’t already have enough trouble dodging the constant attention, Mandy Lane heads away for a weekend getaway, only to find that her peers are being picked off by a mysterious killer one by one.
We’ve seen a lot of posters and key art over the years for All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, but none have cool, minimalistic retro artistry as the one we’re exclusively debuting today.
After the jump, check out an “alternative” one-sheet for Jonathan Levine’s flick starring Amber Heard.
The film is available on VOD now, however, it enters a limited theatrical run on October 11th via Radius-TWC.
The film is about a group of high-schoolers who invite Mandy Lane, “a good girl” who becomes the object of everyone’s affection after returning from summer break, to a weekend party on a secluded ranch. While the festivities rage on, the number of revelers begins to mysteriously drop one at a time.
CraveOnline has just debuted a new trailer for director Jonathan Levine’s (Warm Bodies, 50/50) All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, which is finally set to receive its much-anticipated domestic release through RADiUS-TWC. Check it out in the player below!

Hard to believe, but All the Boys Love Mandy Lane is officially coming to the U.S. We’ve received word from distributor Radius TWC that it will premiere on VOD September 6th with a limited theatrical run to follow on October 11th.
The film is an early work of Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies) and it stars Amber Heard (Drive Angry). Due to all sorts of distribution problems, the film sat on the shelf for several years.
It only took several years for it to happen, but Jonathan Levine’s All the Boys Love Mandy Lane is finally going to see a U.S. release. The film is going to be given a simultaneous bow on the theatrical and VOD market by Radius-TWC (the “TWC” representing “The Weinstein Company”).
This Radius-TWC partnership appears to be great for films that have been languishing on Bob and Harvey Weinstein’s shelf. The union recently released 6 Souls, the Julianne Moore-starring thriller, a film that had been awaiting release for some time as well.
Starring Amber Heard, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane made a splash on the festival scene seven years ago before wading through a thick sob story of distribution woes. The film has been released overseas, but never saw a debut here in the States.
