The military guy looks like he's been in another Romero zombie movie... Maybe... Anyway, it looks to have potential... Maybe... It's always been hard for me not to give George a chance, but it seems to be getting easier.

He was in Land and Diary but as different characters although i hear he plays the same character from Diary making him only the second person to play the same character twice in Romero's zombie movies.
Guys, don't forget this is unfinished with temped in sound and unfinished editing. So atleast wait till it comes out before you complain.

Oh god, another zombie movie, same history, similar characters, sameeeeeee directorrrrr, so boriiiinngggg. Romero remake´s himself all the time, do something different for the love of goooooooooooooood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, just boring

Romero is a filmmaker, not your entertainment slave, you stupid assclowns.
Romero has made a wide variety of risk-taking films --did YOU buy tickets for Knightriders? The Crazies? Monkey shines? Bruiser?
no? then shut it.

when people complain about zombie movies it makes me think... they went out of thier way to read about a zombie movie, which is about zombies, mindless flesh eating zombies that have invaded the modern world and such... really what more is there to do than tell the stories of other groups of people trying to survive against zombies and other selfish humans in thier messed up world? not much you can do with a concept like zombies, and if the guy that created the genre wants to make low budget zombie flicks then let him and quit *****in about it and go watch harry potter or the remake of the remake of halloween or some other big budget crapfest that steals your money and time

For once,I have got to agree with Danny Glover.I have been watching all these zombie movies ever since Night of the Living Dead.Ever since the remake of Dawn of the Dead and the 28 movies, those seem to be the ones getting most of the attention. The whole slow walking thing is a thing of the past and Romero just needs to let it go.If the man is going to try and pursue his zombie dream career,he needs to think of something new if wants to make any kind of real money.
I think I'll just go watch Harry Potter now.

Island of the Dead.

Is this seriously the trailer for "Island of the Dead," or "...of the Dead?" If so this one might be a pass for me. And why would they release such a dark trailer? Hire a lighting guy, please!

To all those who diss Romero - please leave. Never come back. Ya lousy ingrates.

Honestly, I prefer the slow, stupid zombies to the freaky modern fast ones. Call me old school.
Much as I liked the remake of Dawn of the Dead, I couldn't help but raise my eyebrows the first time I saw a zombie take off in a dead sprint (no pun intended). It just didn't feel right. Zombies don't have to be fast to be scary. Part of the original fear was that despite the fact they were slow, despite the fact they were stupid, you simply could not escape them. They would not stop.
That's what made zombies scary.
Romero created the modern zombie genre, so as far as I'm concerned, he can do whatever he damn well pleases with it.

I personally like both the slow and fast zombies for different reasons. Who says we need to like one over the other?
Romero is one of the best filmmakers out there. Each one of his films are classics and relevent to the times. Atleast he tries to do something different with the genre he created, as in each movie is different from the previous. And to top it off he's a nice guy, i met him a couple years ago. It sucks that he moved to Canada a while back.

George A. Romero is an "Iconic Figure" in his way of creating the perfect "ZOMBIE" situations... secluded & remote locations... In theory, nearing the end of the world events... overall, intricate in thought & design, as well as conceptionally re-creating an idea conspired by fear of death!
~NOW THAT'S GENIUS~

Why oh why is this getting green-lighted when World War Z is stalled? World War Z (the book by Max Brooks) is the best zombie book ever (though agreeably, there's not much competition out there), and has an established enough fan base to at LEAST ensure making a profit at the box office.
Romero should get all the props in the world for cementing this (my favorite) horror genre, but honestly his movies have been fairly weak since the original Dawn of the Dead. So I'll see this "Ranch of the Dead" movie (props to Splinter76 for calling it that), but not at a first-run theater.

youve got to be kidding me right? to the ones who say G romero is not anygood or has lost his way... go to hell....wait its empty isnt it damn!
seriousl g romero is the father of modern gore horror go ask rob zombie who his favorite director of horror movies is? thats why rob zombie DOSENT DO Romero Remakes. seriously fuktarded people post about that which they know not. dont come ot a horror site to watch a trailer about a zombie movie than bash it unless youve made 12 zombie movies yourself that have been played in theaters worldwide.
romero is the father of the zombie walk, he is the father of zombie genre, he is the father of shock gore clips! now you 14 yr old zit faced brats go back to the 360 and play dead rising again thats about the speed of half of the above posters.
seriously gtfo stfu and go to blockbuster and re rent texas chainsaw massacre for the 4th time so u can toss off to the naked bloody boobs. fuktards need to be strung up flayed to the muscle and then dragged behind my survival vehicle so i can attract a horde of zombies and kill them while they eat u.
you people who bash romero are the ones in the movie that die first, the ones who think they are the **** and that they smell like roses, but in the very first few scenes you people are the ones who would be victims.
again GTFO STFU and die please.

Posted by: danreinhold on January 25, 2010 at 17:45:19
yeah dude. Romeros other stuff is hella good. I really like the zombie stuff too. Yeah, this one is a little cheap...but you also have to consider that this trailer was made before the movie was probably even done yet, so there are no extra added computer effects or even that really good of sound yet. I cant wait to see it personally.
GO WATCH THE CRAZIES and BRUISER! (c'mon.. bruiser has THE MISFITS in it)
