Union Entertainment is attached to produce a script by Nick Creature entitled It Came from the Drive-In.
The project is said to be tonally in line with Ghostbusters and Back to the Future. Set on Halloween night in 1959, a kid and a reclusive outcast inventor discover that a new local drive-in theater is a gateway to the other side. They team up to save their town from an army of hideous creatures using a menagerie of monster-slaying inventions.
Dmitri Johnson and Nick Brondo of Union are producing; Brad Combs is on board to executive produce. Drive-In is anticipated to be in 3-D.
