Amityville Vet Enters Zombie's H2

Source:Rob Zombie
March 15, 2009

The list of horror vets joining Rob Zombie's H2 grows. Rob Zombie revealed today that Margot Kidder (The Amityville Horror, Superman) has joined the cast as Laurie Strode's therapist Barbara Collier. The writer-director also says the title for the film is now H2: The Devil Walks Among Us.

Update: Zombie has removed any reference to the title above from his blog. It's possible he might have slipped up. We'll keep you posted.

Shooting continues in Georgia...

Awesome Title. This movie is shaping up to be Zombie's Finest, and that's saying something. Now when will we get to T-Rex...

Saying this is shaping up to be zombie's finest is like comparing floaters in the mens room. The last one sucked, this one will suck and fail. That will end the series until 5 years from now they remake the original again.

I think the new subtitle isn't too bad you really can't keep it H2 because of the movie that came out a few years ago called P2,then before that was H20.Add Universal has the official rights to Halloween 2.So the title works for me.It's not that bad. It's different. And there is no way that Final Destination 4 will take the box office that weekend.Halloween will be tops it has more dedicated fans and people will wanna see how the story of Laurie and Michael continues.

@ ttop33,

If you're so convinced this movie will suck why are you even bothering to read articles about it, and worse still, why are you even bothering to take the time to read others comments and posting your own comments on a movie that you, apparently, have no interest in seeing? Not getting enough lovin' at home, maybe?

There's this whacky new invention that apparently everyone's into these days, you may want to pick one up and give it a whirl sometime, it's called a "hobby".

Yo, im loving the progress so far but the new name... is kinda gay... the devil walks among us??? come on!!!

'There's this whacky new invention that apparently everyone's into these days, you may want to pick one up and give it a whirl sometime, it's called a "hobby"'

Um, isn't that what reading movie news/rumours on the internet IS?

This is for the people who don't understand the title of the new movie. In H2 there is a book written by Samuel Loomis that book is called"The Devil Walks Among Us".So the title coincides with that book. And probably has alot to do with what happened in the first Hallowen remake. So the title would make sense with this movie. So the title would work here.Especially since Michael Myers is referred to as pure evil by the original Dr. Loomis in all the original previous movies.

Hm. Not sure I like it. Seems a little wordy, though I guess no more so than the subtitles for Halloweens 4 - 6. Still, sometimes less is more. I dug "H2" just fine.

Can't judge a film by its title, though. Still really excited.

dont care for the subtitle.. and the person who commented talking about p2 and haloween h20 is a idiot..how those have anything to do with anything is beyond me.

Posted by: Michael Myers Fan 1978 on March 15, 2009 at 18:45:38

i was saying nothing about the movies I was talking about previous movies with short titles.Like H2.They were never going to keep the title of H2 til the release date they were obviously going to chage it at some point. My point was other other movies with titles with just initials. That was all.

Margot Kidder is AWESOME! i love her. plus she's a really good actress (even though her part is probably small). i'm NOT digging the new title but as long as the movie turns out good, they can call it anything they want! :)

why dont they just buy halloween 2 from Universal spend 3 mill and get the name so that the every day movie goer knows what this movie is. or just leave it h2 cuz when you go to the movies its going to say halloween 2 on the list of movie play time or just call it halloween: the devil walks among us and leave out the 2 cuz the person who dosent know this is coming out is going to read (h2: devil walks among us) and not realize what the movie is.

Posted by: WooHoo on March 15, 2009 at 22:04:50

I agree with danny glover
leaving out the 2 and calling it Halloween: the devil walks among us is a totally better title and separates itself from the originals by not having a number involved in the title

thats cool, i like the title too, but i still don't really like the H2 thing. it sounds too much like H2O, it'd be good if it's halloween 2, but still koo

Posted by: 2COOLMYERS on March 15, 2009 at 23:23:21

LAME TITLE AND I THOUGHT H2 IS SIMPLE AND KICK ASS THE NEW ONE IS BORING

Posted by: Calum on March 15, 2009 at 23:31:13

Sweet - Margot Kidder!

This sequels getting better by the day!

gammabob) I don't feel the need to explain myself to you. People who enjoy these movies don't know what good horror is. A film can be original and interesting, metaphorical and also be a horror film. Halloween (remake) is just a white trashes take on something great. It doesn't work as a film, it replaces substance with perversion and is probably the worst remake I have ever seen, possibly the worst horror film. People who like it are usually lets just say either at a certain level of maturity or unintelligent. "I see tons of nudity and throw away characters are killed left and right, I must be watching something scary." sarcasm

Posted by: Dutch on March 16, 2009 at 00:39:46

Above we see another imbecile who mistakes his own opinion for the word of god. Anyone who somehow manages to disagree is lacking intelligence or maturity. Could it be that someone just has tastes that differ from your own? Impossible! BTW, if previous Halloween film was the worst horror film you have EVER seen, you haven't seen much. Go back to contemplation of "floaters in the men's room".

Posted by: CCR on March 16, 2009 at 00:57:59

the first one(rob zombie's Halloween) was a good premise, i liked how they showed the "beginnings" of a serial killer...after the movie went into 'remake-mode', it lost everything that was built up.....

having said that, i have all the faith in rob zombie to turn a mediocre horror movie into a kick-ass sequel (obviously i refer to 'devil's rejects') and if he can't pull it off, he will be shunned by ALL horror fans....big shoes rob! live up to it

Posted by: Calum on March 16, 2009 at 03:43:22

CCR, I have to agree with you but it's still a good film - but the end when she's on top with the gun makes up for it.

That scene gives me chills - Zombie's a ****ing AWESOME director.

The Devil Walks Among Us and He's Looking for His Rejects.

It's obvious that you're a jackal, ttop33. Don't forget that Zombie is the one directing the next couple of Halloweens and you're just a jackass writing about it. The originals aren't **** compared to what he's making them. Don't get me wrong, Carpenter's awesome and he did well with the resources available in the 70's. I have faith in Zombie to make a few VERY solid Halloween films. I don't want another H2O (which you probably loved)...I want something more epic and complex if it can be done the right way. It's a riskier undertaking, but the payoff is much more. With H20 the only difference is the updated equiptment and the addition of one Busta Rhymes.

Yea, Zombie is a badass...

ttop33, GFY!
