Let the Right One In Remake Rolling Soon

March 2, 2009

Early 2010 will give way to some new films from the team behind Cloverfield. In February, screenwriter Drew Goddard is making his directorial debut with The Cabin in the Woods. A month prior, helmer Matt Reeves' Let the Right One In remake - now titled Let Me In - hits theaters through Overture Films and Hammer. According to Production Weekly, Reeves begins shooting this May from a script he penned. Expect casting and other announcements to ramp up in the coming months.

Great lets REMAKE a movie released not but two years before.
Hollywood jew scum bags with no originality. THe original was a classic and near perfect movie. THis is going to be bull****.

Actually the guys behind the remake are more Brits than Hollywood Jews...

I'm just sayin... The resurrected Hammer scooped that property right up

Ok .. if you don't like the idea of remakes ... just don't watch 'em ... it's as simple as that ...

geekaholic hit it right on the head.

also...if it's too soon to remake it, it's WAY too soon to be callin' it a classic.

that being said, i loved the original, and the book is phenomenal as well. though i don't quite see the point in the american remake, i'll give it a whirl, there's DEFINITELY worse crap they could be making/remaking

The original is a classic, I don't know what the remake is going to be, but there's not really a reason for it to be anyway except capitalizing on the success of the original.

I don't hate remakes, Jackson did King Kong because the original changed his life and the remake was kinda like a love letter. But LTROI remake isn't made for good reasons, i DEFINITELY put it in the "The Ring, Quarantine, The Uninvited and many others" category of useless, pointless and cupid remakes.(I saw none of them so i won't say they suck or something, but they don't exist for me)

Not sure how I feel about this yet, since there's really nothing to go by, but I will say I think the title should have been left alone.

I love how you people throw the word classic around so casually. And the movie wasn't perfect the ending was too deus ex machina.

Since when a classic is a perfect film anyway

This is bull****. Absolutely no need to remake an already great film that essentially just came out. Complete bull****.

I think the remake will be good on;ly if they keep that girl eli. And if they make her 100% a girl. Then the story will satify all and be perfect. Besides the chances of a sequil is slim to none now especially since they didn't do it like 2yrs ago when the film came out.
