Rumor Control: Portman on Pride and Prejudice?

Last week, we gave you latest on the buzz surrounded Seth Grahame-Smith's "Pride and Prejudice with Zombies," a drastic reworking of the Jane Austen novel. (Catch up on the full details here.)

Tonight, Production Weekly reports Natalie Portman (V for Vendetta) is attached to the project, however, a quick phone call to a source close to the project yielded this response. "Premature. No offers or handshakes of any kind yet - other people circling."

As we stated in our previous report people are very much chomping at the bit to get a hold of Grahame-Smith's twisted take, so stay tuned. Some official word will come down soon!

Really? Ater Natalie Portman's name V for Vendetta shows up in brackets?

Do people really need an explantion as to who she is? And if they do, wouldn't they know her from those Star Wars movies she was in?

Natalie Portman looks just like Kiera Knightly so I think it's funny how Portman might be in this Pride and Prejudice when Knightly was in "Pride and Prejudice" herself so I got confused with the title. I can't tell the two actresses apart.

Oh, and have you ever noticed how many zombies there are in the Bible? Serious. I wonder how P&P would have gone with aliens? Speaking of which, I'm looking forward to The Alien Invasion Survival Handbook coming out next month. Looks like a lot of fun, as well.
