EXCL Update: Good News, Slaughter High Fans!

Update: We've just received the artwork - see below!
Slasher film enthusiasts voiced their excitement last week when Lionsgate Home Entertainment announced it was releasing 1986's Slaughter High on DVD (full details). But that feeling was tempered by a modicum of curiosity: Was the film finally going to be released uncut? All signs were pointing to "no."
That is, until our rep at Lionsgate did a bit of digging and informed us that they have indeed discovered a unaltered print of the film in a vault somewhere. That means when Slaughter High streets on April 14th, you're going to get it unrated and uncut! Quite a coup for LHE who also brought us an uncut My Bloody Valentine on DVD this month.

Good news first My Bloody Valentine and now Slaughter High, hope this uncut re release thing conintues at Lionsgate it seems Lionsgate gives a crap about the horror fans and isnt ashamed of them like Paramount, now if only they could get the rights to the Friday the 13th saga we could have proper uncut dvd releases

Will this "uncut" version be the same one that was released on VHS back in the day? Or is this a new version that's never been released?

Glad to see LIONSGATE listened to the fans who complained on various message boards about not buying the R-Rated cut.
Now if we can just get a release date for CABIN FEVER 2.

I saw this movie on FEARnet last year. I don't know if it was uncut or not, but if not then I'd love to re-visit this.

Awesome, this is one of my fav. movies of all time, I even bought a broke down VHS copy at my local Blockbuster but having it uncut on DVD, that's just mindblowing!!
