well, it only took hollywood about 20 years, but it seems that they have finally figured out the formula that works for these types of movies. And that is make them dark, brutal and leave out all the comedy and all the cheesy crap that we had to suffer through in the 80's version of Jason. From what I have seen and read about this movie so far, this looks like a whole new kind of Jason. This Jason is bigger, smarter and faster, this Jason actually chases his victims full-throttle. I'm sure there will be those that will reluctantly go see this movie, rolling their eyes, expecting the same old stuff they saw in the 80's. But my gut tells me that people will be jumping out of their seats. This time around it's a whole new ballgame and it's time to be afraid again.

Thank god for Rob Zombie for getting the ball rolling in Hollywood. Now all the big-wigs have seen that these movies can be remade way better now than they were back in the day. The slasher movies back in the 80's were a joke. The special effects were a joke and there was way too much cheesiness and comedy in them. These movies have to be dark and horrifying, comedy has no place in movies like this. I am so pumped about this remake because Jason has always been my favorite slasher. I mean lookit, he was born disfigured, his mother was completely insane and probably abusive, he was always picked on and tormented by the better off preppy kids then thrown into a lake as a prank then laughed at as he drowned. So he has a legitimate reason to kill and with CGI perfected now, I'm sure that the kills will look more real and spectacularly gruesome. This remake is going to kick so much ass!!

Actually texas chainsaw massacre did it first. not Rob Zombie. that god for them. Rob Zombie's Halloween was Garbage. This trailer on the other hand looks like pure gold. i cannot wait for this movie

ok, I'll give you that one. But regardless of who did what first, at least now Hollywood has been shown that these movies can be made a lot better now than they were back in the day. And in all fairness, Rob Zombie's Halloween was'nt all that bad, although he did spend waaaayyy too much time explaining Michael Myer's past.

1 G.I.Joe will be greater then Transformers
2 Green Hornet will be improve comics books movies from the embarassments of Spirit, Wathmen, and Max Payne.
3 80s cartoons adapted to movies will take over the box office after the comic book "faves" dies down.
4 Speakin of the 80s, the best 80s cartoons to make it to the big screen will always be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but a Thundercats CGI or animated movie could be a close second.
5 Finally WWE wrestlers should neved and I mean ever do a movie.
