What about the girl?

This movie is moving really fast.

So, I'm willing to bet that we'll see Udo Kier cast next.

Dont forget Clint Howard.

Too bad this guy will be in a crappy no point sequel.

ico is right. This movie is moving fast... especially since Zombie said he didn't plan on doing another. Sounds like Rob liked the figure they passed him on the notepad to come back.
I did like the first one and i'm always happy to see another Halloween movie. Even if the movie sucks, I trust Rob Zombie will make it a charming bad movie at the very least.
BUT - hopefully it turns out more like Devils Rejects. Same continuity, but a different tone or perspective.
Don't let me down Superbeast!

this movie is actually one of the more pure remakes in a long time, it deserves a decent sequel, at least you know zombie's gonna bring something different.

If you read the casting sides, the kills are generic and repetitive. "I'm a young cop who doesn't believe anything I've seen or heard. Now I'm in an 'empty' house. Hope I don't die!" STAB. "I'm in a van about to get lucky, but I better go out for no reason. Hope I don't die!" STABSLASHIMPALEMENT. "I'm a wild child who likes parties and drugs. Look at me be loud and obnoxious, and here's a boob shot! Hope I don't die!" SLASHSTABTURNHEADTOSIDE. etc. etc. rinse repeat *sigh*

And don't forget, "I'm an older cop who follows all the rules. I've seen some stuff and know some things. The last few days sure have been crazy! Hope I don't die!" SLASH UNINTELLIGIBLE CHOPPY FIGHT BROKENBONE GUNSHOTS STAB WALKAWAYSLOWLY.

So, Zombie is making a movie based on things not used in the theatrical version of the first? Can I guess that part 2 will actually take place as the same time as the first, filling in any cracks and showing things from differing views or showing what else was going on that night? Or would that be too cool of an idea? Anyway, Danielle Harris is gorgeous, so I'm in.

That is a cool idea Brad, but one that studios would probably never go for. Especially for a horror film. Inventiveness not allowed. And any horror movies that are inventive are usually foreign, (Inside, Let The Right One In) and are dumped to DVD with POOR misleading marketing. They just don't get it. Like Topher says, more of the same equals getting 'tweens allowance money. Sad. Now go get me another baby and tell Jennifer A. to stop calling and hanging up.
