Twilight DVD Date, Art

Source:Summit Entertainment
January 7, 2009

Summit Entertainment has announced the vampire drama Twilight is tentatively slated to hit DVD on March 21st. That's a four month turnaround for the successful adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's novel which opened November 21st. No specs have been announced, but you can probably bet on a few making-of featurettes and, according to the director, a slew of deleted scenes.

To date, Twilight has grossed $177 million domestically and $262 million worldwide. We'll update this spot when official specs are announced!

Um...to the comment that Jon made, NO. There are 4 books altogether, ergo there will be 4 movies. Get over yourself.

The stupid link said "Twilight DVD Release Date" and it only shows a picture of the cover. Great. false advertisement.

Lionsandwolves, we're having tech issues and sorting out the glitches now. There is a date and an actual article you should be seeing above that cover. I presume you're viewing the site through Explorer?

(It's March 21st, by the way.)

"The stupid link said "Twilight DVD Release Date" and it only shows a picture of the cover. Great. false advertisement."

Ryan said there's a glitch (I see the article), so why the attitude? You Twilight fans can be so *****y.

I bit the bullet yesterday and went to see the film. All I can say is...OVERRATED PIECE OF CRAP.

It's nothing but a merchandising whore that the tweenys are obsessing over. The new Nightmare Before Christmas anyone?

Needless to say that I won't waste a penny on buying the dvd.

Posted by: Rabba on January 7, 2009 at 14:40:18

Oh, how many of the fans on here are NOT teenage girls below the age of 18?

Posted by: Alicia on January 7, 2009 at 15:10:02

Actually Rabba, I'm a Twilight fan and I'm 20 years old. Not to mention that my 30+ yr old cousin is also a fan.

Posted by: Troy Hodo on January 7, 2009 at 15:14:25

PASS!!! i will now NEVER watch this movie or any of its sequels. I dont care if it WAS filmed somewhere here in WA. Thank you little little teenage girls.

Posted by: TerreF15 on January 7, 2009 at 16:17:49

are they going to do all the books and the one i heard they're going to do from his point of view or just hers?

Posted by: Lee_seth on January 7, 2009 at 16:58:16

I was worried they were going with the fugly E/B promo pic, knowing they didn't.. well let's say i'll actually NOT print out a fanart version XD

anyhoo..

21st of march in the US... that makes me think that it'll be an april/may release throughout Europe..? UK will probably get it at the end of March, since it doesn't need much editing. the Dutch, Belgian, French, Spanish, Italian and others will probably be April 20th or something like it.. Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the North countries will probably have a late april or half may release... since the movie is yet to premiere in Germany/Austria.. :/

but hey.. who knows?

as for the haters.. why bother reading this, if you don't like it O_o??

plus.. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH NBC?
