New Moon Lensing in March

Source:KiisFM
November 28, 2008

Ryan Seacrest, a name we never thought we'd ever mention here on Shock, chatted it up with Twilight star Kristen Stewart who told KiisFM that the inevitable sequel, New Moon, begins shooting in March. Summit Entertainment officially greenlit the sequel last week.

"A lot of the book takes place in Italy, and I think we're going to get to go to Italy, which is so cool," Stewart says. "For a while there, they were like, Oh, we don't know if we have the money, but now I think we may have the money!"

I can already picture the **** eating grins on the faces of the studio execs....counting their fat cash before its even lined their pockets.

What a steaming turd that commercial Hollywood has become. A bunch of cash cow sluts.

That's hardly a recent development. It's always been about the money first, with artistic achievements a possible but unimportant side effect.

Posted by: Rabba on November 28, 2008 at 21:16:39

I know that money is the driving force behind Hollywood... I just feel that it seems to be getting far from ridiculous these days [then again maybe its always been this way, and I've just been too blind to see].

Its only just sinking in with their grabbing of foreign market films like [Rec] and 'Let The Right One In' and remaking them straight off the bat before they've even made it over seas.

Bottom line, its a sorry state of affairs.

They obviously don't give a **** about the fans!! All the studio execs care about is making $$$$!!! Because if they cared about us, they wouldn't be making another movie which is going to end up being a piece of **** like this movie was. Don't be mad at me for telling the truth. I'm an actual true fan because I would rather them not make a movie knowing that they would **** it up, leave the books alone!!!

And don't even think about touching on Breaking Dawn as a movie.

Didn't and won't see Twilight and won't see New Moon.

I went to my local theater last Friday when Twilight came out and watched Quantum of Solace, and it got over the same time as a Twilight showing. I had to take a back exit to leave the theater because the main exit and lobby was crowded with nothing but junior high kids, shoulder to shoulder.

Tells you the audience this movie is for...so no thanks! I can watch the CW and picture vampires at home and get the same level of entertainment...

am i the only one looking forward to this movie, i finished new moon last night and watched twilight for the 4th time tonight, i do have ocd so please dont say anything about that, but i cant wait for the movie and the dvd for twilight

I liked Twilight. As far as books adapted into movies it was good. They couldn't make "Twilight the book the movie". I can't wait till they make New Moon. A lot of people are saying they don't care about the fans. Well if they didn't would they even spend the money and go all the way to Italy? They have to film in 2 locations, in Italy and America. Many amazing books become into movies, example:Harry Potter or the many versions of William Shakespeare's writing. Get over it and enjoy what you are given, not everything will meet your expectations.

First off, if Stephenie Meyer liked the movie and she wrote the novel, who are we to argue? I certainly wont. I thought the movie was really good. I totally agree with Tyler and Meowzers. I liked the movie for the movie and not because it was exactly like the book. Don't get me wrong, the books are amazing. I started reading Twilight before New Moon even came out. I've met Stephenie Meyer and had her compliment me on my shirt. I am a big fan and I've read the books so many times that I can quote them. I knew that the movie wouldn't be the book word for word, so I went into the theatre on opening night with an open mind. I really enjoyed it. Sure, some of the effects seemed a bit cheesy, but they were given so little money, what else could we, as fans, expect? Now, because they have more money, they can make the second movie even better than the first. Also, Space Monkey, I am not in junior high, nor is my aunt or my grandmother, that have both read the books and went to see the movie with me. I am really excited to see New Moon and will definitely see it opening night.

Okay- here's my stand:
Most of you people posting bad comments on here could most likely care less whether the movie was made or not. But think of it this way- IT'S A MOVIE!
There is no possible way that the movie could even be compared to the book, for I've both read all four books and watched the movie already. If you haven't seen the movie, or even care to see it, then I don't get what your problem is. Obviously, the movie could have been a bit better, but we all had different visions of it in our own minds, and frankly, what I saw of the movie wasn't at all what I thought it was going to be. And as for all of you who don't like the idea that they got a lot of money from the movie, then why did you even go to see it?!? And if you didn't, then just get over it! It need not concern you. I happen to be fourteen whose favorite book series just came out onto the big screen, so if you have a problem with how it turned out, or that they're making a second one, go be like Bella and jump of a cliff. Hopefully you won't live through it, either. I was thrilled when it came out, counting down the months, and practically just going CRAZY over it all! It was just good news to me! So, please, I understand how you could have been upset about how the film turned out, but to be honest, everybody just wanted to be able to see their dream come to theaters. (That is, if you were a true fan.)

I am so excited for New Moon! I saw Twilight 3 times already and really enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting it to be the book and Stephenie herself approved of the finished product so why all the whining people??? I have read each of the books twice and loved them all so I don't know what the big deal is about everyone boycotting the movies, they're fun! :)

im so excited about new moon... its gonne be awesome! i saw twilight twice, and im gonna see it again next week. i love taylor lautner! hes soooo perfect for the role of jacob! i think hes so cute!

Posted by: Jeanette on November 30, 2008 at 22:21:43

hey, its me again... just wanted to say that twilight is the best movie ever! i really doubt they'll film Breaking Dawn, cuz its not exactly PG13. but yeh, so i think eclipse is gonna be great though, since it was definetely my fave. book out of the saga. stephenie meyer did such a great job. i love her! k, ttyl.

Umm So most of the book DOES NOT take place in Italy..

And from what i have seen with the picks for the Volturri.. THEY ARE NOT OLD...

Posted by: Dreamy on December 3, 2008 at 03:20:41

I think Twilight was AWESOME! Obviously the book was better, hello the books are always better and they had a low budget. And I'm sorry but when you have to pay for actors, directors, photographers, graphics, music, locations, advertising and everythign else that goes into making a movie that can be released on the big screen, they have to make a profit in order to think about making another one. Everything I've said is just common sense people. And for all of you who don't want to watch Twilight, maybe making the movies as big of a success as the books will convince Stephanie to finish Midnight Sun for us to read!

Posted by: Dreamy on December 3, 2008 at 03:22:50

Oh and they are supposedly going to make Breaking Dawn if the series continues to be a hit and they will making two movies out of Breaking Dawn. I'm sure the not exactly PG-13 parts won't be much of an issue, the only thing that concerns me is how they will be able to portray Nessie properly wihtout making her completely computer generated.

I was first told about these books by one of my very best friends about 2 years ago... Luckily I listen to her opinions and read the books with in two months of her telling me of them... Plane trips can get very boring and books are amazing to pass the time away... These books really were awesome though!
Regardless of the vampire stuff, if thats not really your thing, and having to use your imagination a little bit, They are down right really good books and always keep you wanting more!
I finally was able to see the movie last night... It was not what I expected, but like those of you have said.. With the low amount of money they had to produce this film with, It was amazing for it.
I can't wait for the next ones too come out. To be honest though, I would love for them to just skip over two and three and go straight to filming Breaking Dawn. Thats where all the action is really in! haha...
Can't wait to see all the movies regardless! They truley are worth it.

I have read each book about 3 times and I even have them on audio. I'm not a teen and it's not about the vampires. It's truly about the love story. Did I care for the movie? I have to be honest, NO, but as I have read some of your comments, it is true they had a low budget. I also saw something different in my head when I read the books. So, I will have to agree that you will need an open mind when seeing the movie.

Remember most people said that Harry Potter's books were better then the movies.

I love Stephanie Meyers and I will be at the next midnight showing of NEW MOON.

i dont really care what anyone says book or movie the twilight saga is and will be amazing!!

Posted by: medina on January 29, 2009 at 18:04:13

TWILIGHT IS AMAZING AND SO ARE THE ACTORS!!!!!!

Posted by: Ra on February 11, 2009 at 19:11:20

I watched the movie first then read the book. Doing it in that order was cool, because I was able to mentally picture the cast throughout the Twilight Saga. So I'd be rather disappointed if any of the original cast are replaced...(Bring on special effects!!)

I hope the next director and production team does the book justice though...and big hint: Please make the warewolves horselike size in the movie...Good luck in choosing the cast list

Cheers
