On Halloween night, ShockTillYouDrop.com and Pin-Up Girl Clothing struck up a macabre union to put on the
Ghouls' Night Out party in downtown L.A. at the Regent Theatre. Yours truly co-hosted the evening as Ed Wood with Pin-Up Girl's Micheline Pitt as Vampira. If you wanted to see me in a pink sweater and lame mustache, Halloween was the time to do it (that's called commitment).
In spite of a venue change two weeks prior and a brief delay, the party rocked through the night without a hitch. Burlesque performers wowed the crowd, Masuimi Max showed off her latest fire act and Plan 9 kicked some ass. I gotta say, there were some pretty spectacular costumes including a dead-on Snake Plissken, Rawhead Rex (my favorite of the evening) and Poison Ivy; it was also great to see a few familiar faces from the horror scene show up like Adam Green, Mike Mendez, writers Scott Kosar and Brad Keene, James Gunn and... Billy Zane? Yes, Billy Zane
and his sister Lisa (from
Freddy's Dead).

Just looking at the picture I was going with Vincent Price...wish I coulda made it, I reallly wanted to see that Misfits cover band. And the girls. Hopefully next year
