....WOAH... I've seen the first but not the 2nd. that totally blindsided me.
I hope they arent misleading any viewers by that one there. I mean, its obviously directed at the lacking male base for twilight. But does that mean the movie has more of an edward POV? possibly. And I think it'd be great. a couple months ago I would have hated the idea, but with the tragedy of Midnight sun, I'd love to c it on the big screen.

Looks promising. I read all 4 books in the series and got highly annoyed with Bella several times. All of the books are from her perspective and if the movie played out verbatim like the book I would'nt have been too eager to see it. But after watching the TV Spots it looks like it might be pretty good.

Why is her wardrobe underwear and a t-shirt? Firstly, Bella and Edwards relationship doesn't stem from these kinds of things. Their relationship is steamy because as readers we get very few of those moments. When they happen they're like an electric shockwave--a very, very good electric shockwave. That's what makes Twilight so sultry--it contains mystery. As a reader you wait and wait until Edward and Bella are able to hold one another and kiss one another. Those moments are precious. Having Bella in her underwear isn't tasteful to what Twilight is all about.
Secondly, Edwards character never would have found it appropriate for her to be in her underwear. If she was asleep before he arrived, there is a simple solution-- put Bella in pajamas. In the first book, Bella wears holey sweatpants and a white t-shirt to bed. Not her underwear.
In general, wearing your underwear to bed is not a problem. But, putting Bella in her underwear when she is kissing Edward, especially if they are kissing for the first time, doesn't allow the viewer to understand how cautious the two must be around each other. Someone who has not read the books might not understand how careful Edward must be when he even strokes Bella's cheekbone when she is placed in her bedroom, in her underwear, kissing this mysterious vampire boy.
the absence of sex in Twilight is what makes it so sexy. It's what makes Bella and Edwards relationship that more complex. Their boundaries.

But the movie looks good... As for the whole OBVIOUSLY too into the books "dink" this was bound to happen and EVERYONE knew that. BOOKS are DIFFERENT from MOVIES, you have to have more visual sexyness than can be described in a long drawn out paragraph. These books are like 400 pages shortened into an hour-2 hour movie... there's bound to be a lot of stuff people won't like. Also there are bound to be things ADDED to the movie, since it's PG-13 and the books were written by a mormon.

I really dont think think it has anything to do with steph being a mormon. The books are incredibly sensual to be written off as 'love scenes by a mormon'. I dont think that bella should be in her underwear either. and I totally agree with Dink. But I can deal. The movie is going to be WAY different. but its still Twilight when u get down to it. the main vibe is still there, just watching kristen and rob in interviews should assure you that their performances will be fine. and kristen really understood alot of how bella would act around edward, so I dont think she would let them do something too stupid.
All in all, the movie looks great. and its pointless to pick at it. we cant change it. we can only appreciate this VERSION of twilight.

I am well aware that the movie will be very different from the books. I also think the movie looks great and as a big fan of the Twilight Saga I am quite open to a different adaptation from the books.
There are bigger changes from the book than that small aspect. But, that aspect is a big deal to Bella and Edwards relationship overall.
Yes, EVERYONE knew this particular thing would happen. Anyone who has read the books -which you, given your name, have not- would know that as well. But, not so soon as the very first movie installment.
I am not attempting an argument with anyone. This is merely my opinion so please feel free to dispute.
Books and movies are two very different medias. But certain aspects, or themes, of the book the movie is being made about, should be prominent.
