Warner Bros.' Orphan Moves into the Summer

Warner Bros. and its genre production outfit believe The Orphan has summer legs. The studio announced it has shifted the thriller from a November release to July 24, 2009.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (House of Wax), the films stars Peter Sarsgaard and Vera Farmiga as a grieving couple who adopt a young girl (Isabelle Fuhrman) and get more than they bargained for. This new release date puts Orphan up against no specific genre competition yet, however, the family flick G-Force, with Nicolas Cage and Penelope Cruz, opens that day. Source: Warner Bros.
