Oh ****.
That's much cooler than the pendulum.

not bad....not bad at all.....=P

You think somebody gets they're head cut off?
Posted by: djblack1313 on October 16, 2008 at 19:35:12
yeah, this is VERY cool. i haven't been a SAW fan since part 3 but this scene looks intense and scary! i like the fact that ALL the victims (or possible vic's) are in the same trap. COOL! also, is it just me or does Julie Benz's character look a little too calm during this? is she in on it too (a la Amanda in part 2)?
Posted by: sp on October 16, 2008 at 19:38:10
the blond is gonna get killed, because the other 4 are in stills from the movie together....without her
Posted by: djblack1313 on October 16, 2008 at 19:45:55
sp, i think you're right. i HAVEN'T seen that blond in other pix. any thoughts on Julie Benz's character? she's too calm in EVERY pic. i'm thinking she's in on it.

Either that or she's a bad actor.

Thanks.
I don't know if shes part of it. I have two feelings about that.
1. If she is, it would kind of be a rip-off of Saw 2.
but also,
2. I was kind of hoping that the surprise of Saw 4 would be that it turns out, Jigsaw was teaching multiple "students", and if shes part of it waybe thats whats happening.

yeah, something's up w/ her. i just watched the clip again and while everyone else is freaking out (after the timer starts) she's STILL too calm
to NOT be in on it. but who knows....:)

One thing i forgot until now is the fact that this series deals with how people deal with life or death situations, so that could just be how her character deals with whats happening.
I'd be surprised, but you never know.

that's a good point ico. i actually really like Julie Benz (ever since she played 'Darla' on Buffy on TV). so i know she can act. i'm just thinking there's a reason why she's so calm (in these movies there's always (as we all know) at least 2 twists.
i think you might be correct that there are multiple 'students' of Jigsaw working on each other (maybe without the other one knowing?) i'm not at all a SAW expert. so i hope i don't get flamed for the theory. :)

Another thing is that she could know something but that doesnt mean shes working for Jigsaw, she probably knows whats going on because, maybe, shes a cop or a criminal psychologist and is familiar with his M.O.
It could also be as simple as that she is still getting over the drugs she was knocked out with.

Nice! Looks much better than Saw IV. I'm hoping that Julie and Meagan's characters stay alive for a decent amount of time.
Posted by: nees on October 17, 2008 at 09:43:18
So only one can survive? Or only one has to die?
Posted by: djblack1313 on October 17, 2008 at 11:29:16
ico, another thing i'm wondering about is WHY Julie (or her character is wearing a bad wig). as we all know Julie has been blonde for a million years. so i'm wondering if the director just wanted that character to have black hair or if there's a specific reason why she's wearing a black wig....hmmmmm.....

I love the SAW franchise, and I absolutely hate to be knit-pickey, but why doesn't just one person get all the keys for all the victims?
Posted by: Melvin on October 17, 2008 at 12:32:49
Agent Strahm is in on it.
Posted by: Stuart on October 17, 2008 at 13:51:30
DarrenSuds, its made quite clear in that video that if one person reaches their respective box the remaining four will be decapitated on the device.
I like this new clip, but considering its two weeks from release i think we need a real trailer..not just the teaser
Posted by: oren on October 17, 2008 at 14:07:24
DarrenSuds - Agree!
One person can just take his key, release himself and then when he is free, release all the others with their key's.. what's the big deal? they are completely retards...

is call not thinking, and of course not everybody is a team player. desperation is the name of the game.
Posted by: djblack1313 on October 17, 2008 at 16:36:41
STUART,that CAN'T be the way the trap ends. if it is, then in the movie all the vics in this scene are dead (including the shifty and i'm-not-sure-she's-innocent-in-this Julie Benz).

I dont think that the wig is important.
Posted by: djblack1313 on October 17, 2008 at 17:54:23
ico, probably not. LOL. unless the wig itself is setting the traps! LOL.
Posted by: ico on October 17, 2008 at 18:55:11

I figured it out. Jigsaw is actually alive and is hiding under the wig.
