I agree with Thunder-He has completely Massacred the Entire Resident Evil world.

Why not just follow the plots of the Original games rather than just dissect the stories altogether?!!Grrr...

I still don't understand why the creators of the game aprove of these movies and someone in the future will do the movies the right way just like Christopher Nolan did with Batman.

oh god anderson really needs to stop. he ****ed up resident evil so bad. the first one was alright i didnt mind it but hebotched Nemesis, extinction sucked hardcore and im sure the 4th one is gonna be ****! in my eyes he is like a high budget Uwe Boll...thats right i said it. Die Anderson!

Putting Milla in as Alice was the worst idea they ever had. It takes Resident Evil from its dark roots and turns it into pure s**t. I hate the trilogy and hope a 4th movie is a complete remake of the first Resident Evil game.

to all the haters, i respect your opinions but obviously MILLIONS of people (like me) DO like the RES EVIL movies or else they wouldn't be making them anymore. i'm PSYCHED for a part 4! send the story to Alaska and keep Milla in it (you pretty much HAVE to, after part 3's ending). Zombie/monster action in the snow sounds EFFING awesome!

I guess as long as people keep paying to see these films, they'll keep making 'em. It's really sad because Anderson waves his magic writing pencil and everything he touches turns to crap. He's killed the Alien franchise, the Predator franchise, Resident Evil and I'm sure there's a few more out there I'm missing. The Resident Evil films resemble the games in NAME ALONE - nothing else.

As a side note, I feel like the comic book industry wasn't taken seriously for the longest while. Now, look at it? The top grossing films this summer were ALL comic book adaptations. When Hollywood takes note and treats video game adaptations with the same kind of respect, they'll realize they have a goldmine on their hands. I'm not some hard care gamer either, but it doesn't take genius to figure this out. Maybe this trend will end when Gore Verbinski does Bioshock. After all, he took a theme park ride and turned it into one of the most successful franchises of all time (regardless of what you thought of them - they did good at the B.O.)

They should do a movie based off of the RE4 Game. Its got a good story line and it could work great if they wanted to stray away from the Alice storyline. Chris Redfield is a good character and the "los plagas" would look mad cool on the big screen.

I would like a movie ACTUALLY based on Resident Evil 4. It had a great story, and owuld make a great movie! The movies suck, and have nothing to do with the games!!!!!

The third one finally ended up being somewhat watchable. So long as they deliver another gory monster/zombie flick I'm in. Though, yes, it would be nice if somebody made an actual adaptation of the game series someday. Guess we'll always have the Japanese CG movie(s).

To be honest Resident Evil 4 (game) had a pretty weak story. What you all remember being good was the gameplay and the atmosphere. Think back to that plot alone and try and compare it with Resident Evil 2's plot. It's like comparing Casablanca with... Resident Evil directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.

Someday someone WILL give this franchise the Batman Begins treatment. We'll have to wait until the people who grew up with the games are old enough to properly translate it to film. Personally I'd use the Biohazard name to distance it from these films.

PS if no one does first, I will. And trust me, I know what the **** these games were all about.

This has gotten so far away from the games that it really has nothing to do with them anymore.

Just have this take place in space and end the series already.

The only thing good about these movies is Milla Jovovich, although the last one wasn't TOO bad.

Geez, another one?! I didnt even bother with the 3rd movie. this franchise has Reboot all over it. Stick with the original game story, drop the over the top action and make it darker and scarier. These movies should have been R-rated from the beginning.
