No, No, No, No!
28 Days Later was Awesome. Plain and Simple. The way the Original was filmed and Felt was so gritty. Kinda like a Low Budget Independent Movie. And all of those elements worked. Danny Boyle is an Amazing Director. My Favorite Scene is when the Four Survivors are in the Grocery Store and they're completely indulging themselves.
The Sequel was Hollywood Horse S@$&! They tried to make it a Blockbuster Cool Film. Which it wasn't. Too many Special F/X and waaay too much Onscreen gore. It's not what movie goers wanted from this series...and the Box Office Returns Showed it. 28 Days almost made double of what 28 weeks made and the first one cost a Hell of alot less.
Hollywood executives...Just Stop for once.

I agree! Melnutz rules!

@Melnutz
Just to clarify, 28 Days Later was pretty much a low budget independent flim. That would be why it felt that way.
I didn't mind the 2nd one, it didn't compare to the 1st but it was okay. Danny Boyle didn't seem to mind it either. If he's working on the idea for a 3rd film, I'm sure I won't have a problem with that either.

I thought Weeks was much better than Days. Days was decent but Weeks blew me away.
Bring on Months. Do me proud Boyle!

Was there a complaint of too much onscreen gore in a zombie movie? Really?

Jonathon Knight, i'm w/ you! i LOVE Days but Weeks is in my TOP 5 movies ever! and HELL YES, BRING ON MONTHS!!!
and yeah, Melnutz are you nutz? it's an R rated zombie/infection movie. would you rather have it rated PG-13, with NO gore at all? come on...

seriously?
next is 28 years later
then its 28 centuries later
then 28 melleniums late
....and so forth, we've seen this **** before.
they're just gonna keep getting worse and worse as they come.

I liked both movies equally well... I'm up for a third.. but then stop at that. End it there.. either cure the infection.. or show the actual end of the world.. it has to come out one way or the other

numberlessEspada, considering that WEEKS was better than DAYS, i think we're in for an even better 3rd and final chapter.

They could just call it 28 hours left or something, like if theres a small amount of tme before they nuke a city and a group of people are trying to get out?...
