thank god its not a sequel!
Diary was awful
it was nowhere as good as it could have been..
I wonder if its going to be a continuation of the original story?!

i hope it is at the same time i hope it ISNT land of the dead 2 like it was rumored way back when!

I hated Diary of the Dead. I've love Night, Dawn, Day and Land. The Crazies was good, Martin, Season of the Witch... ... Diary didn't feel right... it wasn't for me. I hope George goes back to his old feel.

I've lost a lot of faith in Romero. Land and Diary were both pretty bad. Let's hope this new one is decent.

The original script for Day of the Dead was set on an island, and it sounds like that's where he's heading with it. He's used some of that script in Land, though.

Things to think about.

George said in an interview that one of the characters in this movie could be Bub when he was still alive so it looks like it's still a prequel and he has also said that he had a horrible time shooting Land of the Dead and that he doesnt want to work with a big studio ever again so dont expect this to be a big production either, in fact the name of the production company that he and some investers created is called Blank of the Dead. So it seems this takes place sometime around Diary of the Dead (probably after) and it will be low budget.

this is filming in port dover ontario canada next week, its a really small beach town then, they are off to a pionner village near toronto.

there is a casting call today ( sept 25 looking for zombies) so they are filming alot next week.They said most of it will be filmed there. This is all from the local paper annoucing the casting call.

Does anyone know if this is going to be another cruddy Cam-corder shot movie, 'cos if it is I'm not going to get excited. I'm sick of the Blair Witch, Cloverfield, Rec kind of faux documentary style movie. The only truly good movie of this type was the original Cannibal Holocaust. I want some real direction and real camera movement, not some wobbly, make me puke my guts out, cheap as chips flick. Come on George, make a REAL movie!

looking back diary was forgetable,as was land, Romero needs to find another DAWN soon, having seen a clip of the new movie it seems ok,but is it just me or do we all want to see hundreds of zombies roaming around city streets,yes i do mean a remake of DAY,bring it on!
