Fox Moving on Wrong Turn 3

Fox Home Video's Tom Siegrist told us last November there is interest in a Wrong Turn 3. Today, B-D broke the news this morning with a report that casting has begun.

Our Fox rep has now informed us Declan O'Brien is confirmed to direct. O'Brien most recently helmed Sci-Fi Channel fare Cyclops and Genesis Code. No word yet if he is penning the third Turn as well. We'll keep you posted with plot details when they come in. Last year, he was credited for penning Harpies, starring Stephen Baldwin, and Savage Planet.

The first Wrong Turn was released in 2003 and grossed an estimated $28 million worldwide. Joe Lynch's Wrong Turn 2 arrived four years later on DVD and became one of Fox's most popular direct-to-DVD hits.

I didnt like the 1st one and i actually liked the 2nd one which was direct to video, i was really surprised with the second one how a direct to video can top a theatrical movie, but i guess i like thought the second was good because of henry rollins, so i have doubts about this 3rd one, which doesnt even have the same director, but who knows.

The First One Sucked my d***... acting terrible...script terrible.. blatent hills have eyes rip off.. i actually liked the 2nd one..which is incredible because i have better acting skills sitting on toilet than henry rollins but it was good..not looking forward to a number 3 but if i can sit through a godawful movie like unearthed i can probably handle wt3...why not

THe first one was really good. I can't believe that part 2 was a very popular direct-to-DVD hit. I felt like all the gore was forced on part 2. The shock was just pure sensationalism. Too much guts and not enough story. Hollywood sequels movies to death! When will they ever learn that the originals need to be left alone.

I knew Wrong Turn 2 was a bad movie when not even 5 minutes into the movie someone said "I must have made a wrong turn". Hey! That's the name of the movie!

It's too bad though that Joe Lynch won't be directing. He directed a pretty good Direct-to-DVD sequel that didn't have too much CGI and gave the characters some development before killing the majority of them off. Also, are the screenwriters of WT2 writing the screenplay for this?

Thoroughly enjoyed 1 and 2.

I like that people on this board are not (too) condescending or hypocrites when it comes to Direct-to-DVD films as people are over on bloody-disgusting.com. It might be off topic a bit, but I can't, can't, can't wait for Lost Boys: The Tribe, but some of the reasons its getting trashed is because it is simply a Direct-To-DVD movie. Yet, movies like Wrong Turn 2, Hatchet, Rest Stop, and others are given all of this great applause, but they are DIRECT-TO-DVD movies! So I am really confused by that.

On the topic of the Wrong Turn series, I have never seen them, but won't write off the second or third one due to it being a DTV movie. Hell, Hatchet was a fun movie to watch again and again with friends and the price was cheap at Wal-mart the day it was released ($9.99!) So I would give them a try one day.

i loved the 1st and the 2nd one, i thought that they both were great, with great acting and great actors. i think that the 2nd one was better than the first for alot of reasons.

i am all for making a 3rd one, but i hope that the director doesnt make an ass of himself by ruining the franchise.

i really hope that they change their minds about the directing and they let joe lynch direct the 3rd cause the second one rocked with the picture and the screen play.

i love the wrong turn movies, i think that they are really good cause they can really happen.

the 1st one i know has happened befor, and the second i think can really happen,
i think it can happen on the show survivor if they really go to an island and film, i think its very do able.

MAKE A WRONG TURN 3
