New Repo! Trailer a Visual Feast

The Fantasia Film Festival (July 3 - 21) is just around the corner and one of the many bizarre films commanding the attention of attendees is Darren Lynn Bousman's Repo! The Genetic Opera. Yes, it has received quite a bit of press around here (set visit) and, today, Bousman has alerted us to a new trailer that puts that Scream Awards teaser that made its debut last year to shame.

Alexa Vega, Paul Sorvino, Bill Moseley, Paris Hilton, Kevin Graham Ogilvie, Anthony Stewart Head and Sarah Brightman star in this horror/rock musical which concerns a worldwide epidemic and encourages a biotech company to launch an organ-financing program similar in nature to a standard car loan. The repossession clause is a killer, however.

i'm f^ucking PSYCHED to see this. i've watched it like 10 times in a row now. i normally HATE musicals, but this gets me salivating! LOL. Lionsgate BETTER give this a proper release! Sarah Brightman looks incredible as Blind Mag. oh, and i LOVED the quick shot of Joan Jett! Joan rules!

I'm in love, this film looks absolutely phenominal.

And as for Tony Head singing, watch the Buffy musical episode 'Once more with Feeling'...he's got some pipes on him!

This looks awesome! I hope it gets a fairly wide release (like 800+ theaters). Obviously it won't be in more than 1,500, which would be a lot for this movie. It could open with 4 Million and will definitely go on to be a cult classic, that is certain.

I'm hoping for a release after SAW 5, since if the trailer is attached to that it would be some great exposure for this.
