First Look at Rob Zombie's Tyrannosaurus Rex!

Source:MySpace
June 23, 2008

As promised, writer-director Rob Zombie has posted preview art from his post-Halloween effort Tyrannosaurus Rex. Alex Horley (Spookshow International) is the one responsible for the testosterone-fueled image you see below. This is the first time Zombie has come forward with anything that gives a glimpse of what's to come when Dimension Films releases T-Rex on August 28, 2009. What do you think of the art? Weigh in and post a comment below, mofos!

Looks like Rodriguez's Machete, mixed with 70s Carpenter.

Like 70's style.I like it.It's look better than others movie posters.Zombie is a good director and writer so i think in time who's know,,,maybe it's the next JOHN CARPENTER or the new SAM RAIMI...who know's....ZOMBIE'S TRIVIA:DID YOU KNOW THAN BACK IN THE 90'S ZOMBIE WAS ATTACHED TO DIRECTS THE THIRD CROW MOVIE NAMED:THE CROW...BUT THE SCRIPT WITTEN FOR HIM WAS REJECTED FOR THE STUDIO???.

ANYTHING ROB ZOMBIE DOES IS AWSOME. HE'S A GREAT DIRECTOR. I LIKE HOW HE USES THE SAME ACTORS IT GIVES HIS MOVIES A FAMILY FEEL.

Hmm... I think we've seen this somewhere before: http://www.impawards.com/1977/gauntlet.html

I am super stoked for this. I love all of his work. And gee...I wonder who will play the blond ;-) That's ok, I love Sherri Moon.

middle guy looks like randy savage. one can only hope.

"Gauntlet" was the first thing that came to my mind, too, Harry. The dude on the left looks like a muscled-up Austin Stoker.

Posted by: djblack1313 on June 23, 2008 at 13:58:24

John, i agree. the first thing i thought was "Machete" from Grindhouse.

Posted by: harry on June 23, 2008 at 14:02:08

well it definitely has rob zombies finger prints all over it.

After the craptastic Halloween, I was looking forward to him possibly doing Werewolf Women of the S.S. since Rodriguez is making Machete.

Posted by: ILLOS on June 23, 2008 at 14:14:10

Reminds me A LOT of "The NAIL" the comic he did.

Posted by: wyngarde on June 23, 2008 at 14:34:07

The Gauntlet and Mad Max. And "Dawn Of The Dead" with the poses. (The original, not the crappy remake)

Very nice nod to Frazetta.

Too bad it won't be seen in theaters with the swearing on it.

Zombie may just make up for his butchery of "Halloween"

Yes, I remember he was supposed to direct the third crow, and it was called The Crow: The Land of Gods and Monsters, or something to that effect. The reason why the movie studio rejected it? It strayed too far from the source material.

Posted by: Ryan Rotten on June 23, 2008 at 15:59:12

It was called "The Crow: 2037."

Posted by: Joe on June 23, 2008 at 16:07:08

Very Frank Frazetta-ish!

what it he's a trucker or a biker?

Posted by: kevlar on June 23, 2008 at 17:02:46

lmao, i couldnt help but laugh when i saw this, the percantages are jus too funny. and this comes out of my b-day!!! maybe it will be a good present for myself. i have to agree the poster looks very retro 70s which i like, and you can tell that Rob is very inspired by John Carpenter's filmwork.

as for everyone ripping halloween, sure it was the greatest halloween but it was sure a lot better than 3, or resurrection or h20 for that matter. it was a good backstory to see how michael myers became the boogeyman. i thouhgt zombie's wife acted very well in it (as michael's mom), along with mcdowell as dr. loomis.

Posted by: thisguy on June 23, 2008 at 17:04:15

I swear, if the blonde girl in the poster ends up being Sherrie Moon, I'm gonna be pissed.

Rob Zombie should stick to music. His movies SUCK BALLS. What a hack.
