Bonus features include:

• Commentary with Alex Vincent, Catherine Hicks and FX artist Kevin Yagher
• Commentary with producer David Kirschner and screenwriter Don Mancini
• Select Scene Chucky Commentary
Evil Comes in Small Packages ("The Birth of Chucky," "Creating the Horror," "Unleashed")
Chucky: Building a Nightmare featurette
A Monster Convention featurette

WILL IT BE WIDESCREEN? My only question and concern. I'm not even sure if widescreen is possible for that movie.

Posted by: jrrrz on June 20, 2008 at 23:20:35

there is a widescreen version of CHILD'S PLAY available, but unfortunatley for most people, the dvd has a different region code.
if you have a universal region code dvd player then you will be able to get it from eBAY. that is where i got mine about two years ago. there were no special features worth mentioning on that dvd.
but the movie does look superb in widescreen.

This was supposed to come out in February, so I'm glad that it's finally coming out. It's good to see that MGM is including some nice special features and (hopefully) a widescreen version.

Marcel, can you provide a source for that information? Thanks!!!

Posted by: Marcel on June 21, 2008 at 00:34:58

It's going to be 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen.

Hey Mike, why worry about a freaking remake? It would just suck anyway. Buy the Special Edition DVD and enjoy a good movie.

People like you piss me off when you start pushing for crappy remakes of good movies.

Posted by: Andy007 on June 28, 2008 at 04:11:43

Yeah Mike, remake? What the hell is wrong with you? Chucky rules, and I don't want his image ruined by a crap remake.

I think I just found my girlfriend's Halloween present:D "Child's Play" was her first horror film, so this would make an awesome gift.

hey General, sex might be a better gift. Unless she's a fatty.
