The clip is fun.. but I saw the complete movie and it's a huuuuge crap. I watched it at the Gerardmer's Festival in France on January 2008. The theater was full of fans. They all boohed at the ending, telling in front of cameras at the exit that this movie represented the complete death of Dario Argento. And, by far, it's his worth film ever.
I cannot agree more.
And the monkey... Wait to see him in the full movie. Wait to see the ghost of Asia Argento's character's mother (played by her real life mother, Dario Nicolodi), first ghost ever to grow old. This scene, like many others, made me think of Harry Potter... (you'll understand why).
You'll learn in that movie that train's doors are extremly leathal, and that you don't have to trust gothic asiatics that yell at people in train stations.
And The Mother of Tears (third witch, after Suspiria, ..) herself is a masterpiece (I'm ironic): it's a stupid gothic girl looking like a hore, in a cave, who danse naked. And when the cave collapse (after two minutes), she stays here screaming until a part of the wall kill her.
The only thing nice in the movie is Udo Kier ! Because he's so funny (bad, but funny) and it's Udo Kier !!!
But it's still a silly, stupid, awfull, revolting movie.

i respect your opinion. But damn that some old schoold craft. Plus it got Argento signature all over it.
Posted by: nono on June 3, 2008 at 04:15:56
The clip has the signature of Argento.
The whole movie has the signature of someone who tries to be Argento but completly miss his target.
I wrote in my last post : "This scene, like many others, made me think of Harry Potter... (you'll understand why)."
-> The "like many others" is a bad copy/paste. My mystake. Their's only this scene that made me think of Harry Potter :)

WTF! That was pretty cool. I agree a little 80's but weren't these type of movies a lot better back than. I love campy movies. Bubba ho-tep is most likely the best B movie of the decade, IMO. There hasn't been that many that I would rank with the tent pole movies. This may be a bit bias since I am a Bruce Campbell fan but the movie still rocked!
On topic: I'll check it out. I'm very opened minded to all movies unless there a HUGE reason a la any Uwe Boll movie. Check out what IMDb has listed for the future.

Alright. Now having seen many movies of the horror genre, I have to say that this is complete filth. There is a FINE line between awesomely gruesome and ridiculously represented. This movie obviously is the latter of the two. How can anyone really say this is even remotely "cool"? I understand that gory movies should have terrible death scenes, but this is just retarded. I hope to God someone punches this Argento guy directly in the face. He might as well have had the monkey jump in and masturbate on the woman and when they were done destroying her body, play jump rope with her intestines. This movie is on the same line as that bull**** anyway.
