Exclusive Update: C.H.U.D. Turns to Urban Decay?

Source:ShockTillYouDrop.com,Ryan Rotten
April 1, 2008

A ShockTillYouDrop.com reader/industry insider who we'll keep anonymous for right now alerted us to some script sides (which I have read) being tossed around a casting agency. Carrying the moniker Urban Decay we found a curious little detail: The scene being played out over the pages we received references C.H.U.D.s - that's right, those pesky, drooling, bug-eyed cannibalistic humanoid underground dwellers!

Does this mean the rumored C.H.U.D. remake is finally on the move? If so, who's behind it? We're going to dig deep beneath the streets of Hollywood for answers tonight... Stay tuned, and wish us luck.

Update: We have exclusively learned the credited screenwriters are Ian Malone and Andrew Goring.

I think its about time the classic Monster movie returned!
I really hope this happens, CHUD is one of the coolest 80's horror movies.
Would love to see a remake or sequel.

C.H.U.D. was a great flick and doesn't have a killer of sorts, so a remake shouldn't really be denied. As long as the C.H.U.D.s look the same, I'm down for it.

A real sequel would be excellent too.

It has one of coolest plots for a horror movie. And CHUD is one of few movies that should be remade.
