Source:Dreamworks
March 22, 2008

Dreamworks has supplied us with a succulent clip from The Ruins to get you through the holiday weekend.

Based upon the novel by Scott Smith ("A Simple Plan"), four American tourists on holiday in Mexico are detoured into the jungles in search of a fellow traveler's friend. There they discover a hill, once home to an archeological dig but now it's deserted and a haven for something truly evil. Jonathan Tucker, Jena Malone, Shawn Ashmore, Laura Ramsey and Joe Anderson star.

True, Nick. Hopefully they don't change up the ending as well...

well to be honest i kind of like the idea of giving the vain to stacy instead. horror movies are supposed to have girls in distress i think, thats more scary they are more helpless in situations. i mean i loved the book and i dont want them to change it but that change i am not that upset by. i do like the ending however so i hope they dont change it. maybe they will just change stacy and eric's characters ya know? that may not be so bad.

I think the clip is ridicules. The book was completely awesome. I know they have to change things for the movie but somethings just need to be left the same.

Get over it.

Movies and books are two different takes.

It's like transferring a stage play to a movie or to a book.

It's never gonna be the same.

Think Jurassic Park.

Be Happy with this NEW take on the story and if you want the original story THEN read the original story... The Book!
