i thought it was about a highs chool girl that was doing the killings ?
maybe its not the movie im thinking of but im sure thats what the original was about.
i smell another crapfest like when a stranger calls!

Why would you make a remake but change the story. It's almost like remaking Friday the 13th but making the killer be a 16 year old camp counsler. I think they just made a movie and just decided to use that title and then said hey we'll say it's a remake and fans of the original will come see it. But a thirty something fan of the original is not gonna run out and see this.

Actually, the original "Prom Night" had a male high school student doing the killings. Nelson McCormick has stated that he wanted the remake to be more like an Alfred Hitchcock thriller, thus explaining the PG-13 rating and the movie's scares not having anything to do with gore.
