Winstone's Got a Thing for Live Girls
March 7, 2008

We'll see if this pans out, but right now Darclight Films has a listing on its production page for a film entitled
Live Girls.
Ray Winstone (
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) is in line to star. Behind the camera you've got Rob Green. His credits include the WWII UK horror film
The Bunker, he has also been attached to
Dog Soldiers: Fresh Meat (the long-delayed sequel to
Dog Soldiers) for some time. Mark Thomas (
Freeze Frame) and Jon Finemore are producing.
Here is Darclight's plot synopsis:
Mild mannered Davey visits a strip club for the first time in his life and is spellbound by diabolically sexy dancer Anya, but following a wild night of ecstasy he's bewildered to discover himself changing in ways he can't understand, and consumed by cravings that can't be quenched.
Returning to the club seeking answers, Davey encounters grizzled private eye Benedeck who's tracked down his family's murderers to the same address, and together they discover the horrific truth about Davey's condition and Benedeck's family. The club and its irresistibly seductive dancers are more than they appear to be, and for Davey to save his abducted girlfriend and Benedeck to exact revenge, they must enter a nest of immortal, blood sucking ghouls whose sexuality is as deadly as their fangs.
Strip club plus vampires. Hmmm, sounds
vaguely familiar...

Sounds alot like the 1986 movie Vamp. But vampires in strip clubs isn't anything new anyway. Blood, **** and violence.. it will do well regardless these days.

Ray Winstone is badass, but this sounds a little like From Dusk Till The Departed to me. On another note, I'd love to see Winstone and Brenden Gleeson play brothers someday, just for ****s and giggles. They're both awesome actors.
