Smith Reveals Latest Cast Addition to Red State

John Goodman has signed up to join the cast of Kevin Smith's Red State.
The writer-director broke the news on Ralph Garman's Hollywood Babble-On show. Goodman will join Kevin Pollack, Michael Parks, Kyle Gallner, Melissa Leo, Dermot Mulroney, Michael Angarano and Steven Root. Shooting begins soon on this story of a group of kids who encounter a crazed preacher (based on Fred Phelps, founder of the Westboro Baptist Church) who gives a whole new meaning to the term "extreme fundamentalism.
