I know what I'll be getting for my wall this year, that poster is tight. I've got my fingers crossed that the movie is very fun to watch.

Why is the arm-blade so long? It looks cumbersome and stupid.

like the shirt.

Oh no ! Arm blade is too long, and the shape of the arm blade is not that sharp, and why is it on the upper side of predator's hand, it was supposed to have flowers all over it and on and on.....whiny biotch, can't get over some changes you autistic moron !?

"Why is the arm-blade so long?"

Because there are different Predators with different skills. They would also continue advacing their technology. And movies are made from artists who enjoy creativity. It's their job to be creative not to repeat every detail from past attempts.

everytime something good roles around there are as few whinny baby complaining about mlittle dumb things like a blade being to long wtf. if you were being chased by that f#@$er and he stabbed you with that thing you would piss your pants. looks great cannot wait for this one and its sequel, and prequel, and aliens prequel, and sequel. great news.

I am sure he's meaning that in ALL the predator movies, it was a certain length because it was retractable. Being that long couldn't possible retract anywhere CLOSE to 70% of that blade. For the classic predator lovers that were alive to watch it the first time around in theaters. Not a big deal though, i'm sure it will still be awesome with him making it. Would be more cool if Arnold reprises his role, but eh. So be it.

Posted by: Morden Night on March 13, 2010 at 12:16:48

Having arnold reprise his role would be retarded. Arnolds too old, and no doubt out of shape. He couldn't come near the shape he was in in Predator. I like the way they're going with this movie so far. Kinda like the book AVP hunters planet, but solely run by the yautja.

Posted by: Carl Grissom on March 13, 2010 at 14:13:30

Just wondering... isn't the mask supposed to protect the predator's face? Anyone who saw the first two installments knows this. So why the hell isn't his jaw protected?

Posted by: NANNA on March 13, 2010 at 14:32:43

@ Carlos - coz he's a bad mamma jamma...

"Why is the arm-blade so long?"

Because the director has a small penis!

"Why is the arm-blade so long?"

Because you and Memo are stupid morons! And also autistic!

To the idiot(Morden Night) saying that Arnold cant reprise his role because hes too old, who the f says the movie takes place the same year as the original you dumba$$? And rumor has it that Arnold is indeed reprising his role. Theres a rumor of a character that has been surviving on the Predator planet for years in a cave or something. Rumor also has it that thats Arnolds character cameo.

Alien > Aliens ripoff?

Why do people feel the need to change things? The predators in 1 and 2 were fine.

Then they got a super-hero-ish and looked like they belonged in a comic book in the AvP movies.. yet somehow were more wussy. This movie seems to be following those line.

No one roots for the predator.. which means you need a decent cast to root for, and this flick lacks that as well.

fail.

People who distill their ideas into "fail" kinda' "fail".

I've little faith in Rodriguez at this point. Even he understands that he's a brand - but like Kevin Smith, the strength of that brand is on the wane.

That said, this is actually a solid-as-all-hell cast for a genre film (it's good to see one populated with actors instead of abs).

@Carl Grissom - In the book the masks are explained as being not only protection or armor for the head and face, but also enclosing their electronics (thermal, etc) and their self contained environmental system. They are from a different planet with a different atmosphere and environment. It would make sense that if they are on their home turf they could very well use a mask that allows them to breathe on their own. Definitely less encumbering.

saying the arm blade is "cumbersome" is a really douchey thing to say at this point.

hello people .. im very interested in this movie .
i was reading something ..

- this is the product of the conbination os two guions..
- in my opinion .. they shouldnt show much of predators body .. it could be a big mistake.. well poster is for 9 points ..
- the story .. seems interesting.. becouse they are in jungle .. but the way and personality of the other predators movies ..shouldnt forget .. fear, impresion, and personality of predators..

IT MUST SHOCK US ¡¡ otherway would be other avp..u.u

marcelo argentina- wtf did you just say?

Posted by: Sush on March 16, 2010 at 21:06:01

I think the first 2 Predator movies were excellent - and the Dark Horse Comic books were also excellent - This movie looks like it is following along the right path of what a sequel should be - A good movie in its own right.

I know people are saying its a 'reboot' and making a big deal of it - but to me its just a sequel that could be great if its handled correctly by the film-makers.

And yeah it would be great if the rumoured Arnold cameo is in there - I just hope they don't waste him if he is in the movie.

The arm blade is long probably because if you are stabbing/spiking an xenomorph or a similar alien with acid for blood you would not want the substance all over your hand or arm etc.So you keep it at a safe distance, pretty much like using a sword.I'm sure the blade can adjust in size accordingly.

im so excited about that movie. since the scene in pred2 with all the skulls inside the spaceship i always thought about how cool a movie would be that shows where they got all the trophies from - i hope they will make more creatures like the one on the official homepage
