What Does Snipes Want from Blade 4?
Source:MTV
March 4, 2010
More hypothetical news from the web about a Blade 4 that may or may not ever happen.
With Wesley Snipes on the Brooklyn's Finest press tour, everyone's asking if he'd be up for another go in the skin of the Daywalker known as Blade. Is he interested? Of course he is! It's work after all. He tells MTV: "There are some things we really want to do that we didn't get a chance to do. The first and the second one were experiments, and we started to get better. If we do another one, it will reflect our maturity and our better understanding of the genre."
He takes a knock at series writer, and Blade Trinity director, David Goyer here, hinting at the rushed time he had on the threequel. But honestly, is it time for a fourth entry? Maybe, maybe not. Depends on if you're a fan. There have been talks of rebooting the franchise. But it has been some time since we've heard anything more.

Maybe a fourth blade would be cool, I was really enjoying the tv show on Spike till they tossed it.

I would like to see a Blade 4. Trinity wasn't that bad. They only thing that really bothered me was Dracula. He should have been terrifying. Instead...

Yes, please release Blade 4 theatrically. I would be there opening day!

I'm all for Blade 4. Goyer only gets to write it though.

hellyeah, bring it on, been waiting for blade for since 2004, make it already, make sure to use a good villain though

Seriously would like to see a blade 4 done correctly. A visionary director is what's needed, like the first two.
But Trinity was terrible. Awful. No good. Very bad. Goyer should keep to writing awkward dialogue and stay the hell away from a director's chair.
I think I threw up in my mouth a little bit just thinking about Trinity. UGH.

Screw you reboot haters - we need a reboot. Snipes looks too old and he's going to prison soon - might as well start off anew.

It's funny, I was just thinking at how we seem to get more and more crappy big budget movies because studios set the release date before there's even a script written. I agree with Snipes that there needs to be more effort developing the characters and the action, you WILL get a better product out of it.
Shooting a movie without a script is like putting on your shoes first, then your pants. Sure you'll get them on, but imagine how much time and energy you would've saved if you stopped and decided to do it right,

I've always thought that Morbius would be a cool villain. The first had traditional vampires, the second had a predator/vampire combo, why not vamps that have evolved to feed from just their touch?
Not sure if Blade and Morbius ever ran into each other in the comics, but, it's all Marvel property anyway. Besides, I'd like to see Blade take on a vampire that can fly.

A fourth would be better than a re-boot.

Wesley Snipes is Blade. A reboot with a different actor would be stupid. It doesnt matter that Wesley is a little older stupid, he does age like a human in the movies so its stupid to say hes too old already.
Having Dracula as the villian was perfect. Or it should have been. Goyer made Dracula a pu$$y in the movie though. That scene where Blade is chasing Dracula through the city is stupid. Its fckuing Dracula. Why would Dracula be running away from someone? Ridiculous. And a better director woulda understood that. Goyer is a heck of a writer. But he needs to stick to writing.

well said MR America !!..
and your so right movieking..
and what most of you mentioned about the first original drac`s part..
he just wasnt scary it seems like they woke him up after so long and he was still tired or something...he just didnt have an edge even though that monster thing he turned into looked great, but they just didn t show enough of it..
i loved all 3 films but i heard there was bad and negative tension between wes and director and other actors so his heart wasn t in it. i think most of you agree that it truly showed..
but killin off whistler whats that all about!!!..
but im not going to complain anymore as blade besides punisher war zone...spawn and the crow he ll always be up there as one of my favourite hardcore super heroes in the whole wide world ,he knows what he wants ,he s totally focused dedicated to his cause even if the odd love interests shows up he s still on the ball!!..
and he loves his toys the only way a hardcore vamp ass kicking daywalker should..
so bring on the prequels or sequels or reeboots wes or not but dont change who he is..
even though this heroe was made for wesley snipes you can just tell he loves playing him who wouldnt??..
and keep del toro too..
he just understands where blade is coming from and what made him tick!!..and kick ass !!!no holds barred
so who ever said keep goyer from the directors chair im sorry goyer but they are right ..even though you made the first one ...
whatever went on between him and mr snipes wasn t good for the movie because it showed
so yeh dude just write a good script or produce it thats it!!..
hell yeh bring me more blade!!!!
