Director Paul Schattel dropped in on Shock Till You Drop with word on his latest feature film The Mourning Portrait.
"It's about those creepy post-mortem photos often taken in the early 20th Century," he told us. "People who read the script remarked how it felt (tonally at least) like Guillermo del Toro's 'The Devil's Backbone' - sort of a thinking man's horror film."
Belladonna Feature Films (Funny Games) is producing with Garret Dillahunt (The Last House on the Left), Melissa Leo and Diane Ladd set to star. Check out this teaser Schattel cooked up. Shooting begins soon. We'll keep you posted.
