Trailer: Are You Ready to Get Primal?
Source: Shock Till You Drop
February 5, 2010
The European Film Market is just around the corner, introducing attendees to a bevy of new fright offerings we could potentially be seeing in the next year. Below you'll find the official trailer for an Australian horror pic called Primal from filmmaker Josh Reed.
Here, six friends set out on a field trip into a remote wilderness area but when one of them takes a dip in the waterhole she soon becomes feverish, regresses to a predatory, primal state and begins to hunt her friends. A frenzied, visceral nightmare quickly develops as another of the group begins to regress, and terror descends on the rest as they are hunted down one-by-one.
But as you'll see in the trailer, it looks like there's a bit of a creature feature element to it as well.

That actually looks pretty cool. Reminds me of The Ruins... but good.

The Ruins were good and I knew somebody was going to bring that up. The Ruins wasn't about the monster so much it was more how we humans could turn to be monsters just as well.
Anyway - this movie looks awesome as hell. I can't wait. So - is this coming to DVD or theaters? It looks theater worthy, those are some pretty good effects.

Did I just see correctly in one of the last scenes a girl's pregnant and she's using a knife to cut out the baby? looks crazy and cool at the same time.
