It's been well over a month since MTV announced Tyler Posey, Tyler Hoechlin, Crystal Reed and Dylan O'Brien would be starring in the remake of Teen Wolf, originally released in 1985 with Michael J. Fox starring. Lensing in Atlanta, Georgia with Jeff Davis (Criminal Minds) scripting, it was unknown who was directing.

Shock Till You Drop has learned and can confirm Russell Mulcahy (Resident Evil: Extinction) is at the helm. This means Bait, the nature-run-amok 3D thriller Mulcahy is prepping will have to wait. Not for long, however, the production recently received a boost in funding.

Teen Wolf will hit later this year.

Sad. Makes me miss his glory days of Razorback, Highlander & The Prophecy.

Slightly off topic: wanted to post this comment with the Razorback screening article but the name & email fields there aren't allowing entry for some reason. Feel free to move this to the appropriate page:

Awesome movie. Would love to meet Mulcahy. Solid b-movie director. Have fond memories of catching bits & pieces of Razorback when it was a cable mainstay in the early 80's.

I'm glad the Warner Archives made to demand DVDs are making a lot of lesser known titles available (yay Don't Be Afraid of the Dark!) but its a shame they're all bare bones affairs.

Razorback has style to burn and deserves a proper release. If you have a region free player, skip the Warner Archives version & pick up the R4 special edition with lots of nifty extra features.

I am confused about this. This sounds like a movie but the last post was a tv show and the one before that a movie. Are we getting a Teen Wolf Movie and TV show?

It's a made for MTV movie, along the lines of MY SUPER PSYCHO SWEET 16.

MTV are the biggest losers. They can take the coolest concept such as werewolves and turn it into the lamest, worst excuse for a TV show and will end up being a disgrace to the genre of werewolves.

The honchos at MTV really need to get their **** together. Almost the entire past decade has been pointless crap, like ridiculously fake dating and anything-other-than-music shows. It's become nothing more than a carbon-copy of VH1 channel that caters to d-bag personalities.

Russel Mulcahy, you are better than this. Don't sell your soul, man.
