Brrrr, an Exclusive Look at the Frozen Poster!

In 2007, writer-director Adam Green kept you warm with fresh, spilled blood in his slasher throwback Hatchet. Later, he screwed with your head in Spiral. Now he wants to chill you to the bone with Frozen, a new thriller starring Kevin Zegers, Shawn Ashmore and Emma Bell that's opening in theaters on February 5.
Praise is already following this one around. It recently screened in Austin, Texas and, in January, the film is coasting its way to the snowy environs of Sundance. Today, Shock Till You Drop has your exclusive first look at the one-sheet. Click below to see it in hi-res.
In addition to this, we also have the official plot synopsis. Check it out!
A typical day on the slopes turns into a chilling nightmare for three snowboarders when they get stranded on the chairlift before their last run. As the ski patrol switches off the night lights, they realize with growing panic that they've been left behind dangling high off the ground with no way down.
With the resort closed until the following weekend and frostbite and hypothermia already setting in, the trio is forced to take desperate measures to escape off the mountain before they freeze to death. Once they make their move, they discover with horror that they have much more to fear than just the frigid cold. As they combat unexpected obstacles, they start to question if their will to survive is strong enough to overcome the worst ways to die?

I had no idea what this film was about, but I am sold already! Looks great.

LOL! Me, too! Sounds awesome!

I'm not so sure about this. You wouldn't think getting stuck on a ski lift would be a good idea for a scary movie. Look at "Snakes on a Plane".

None of them has a cell phone??

JD- they're in the mountains....no reception...
Posted by: jay on December 15, 2009 at 07:55:52
why don't they just jump off?
Posted by: Brain on December 15, 2009 at 12:14:46
That is true about the mountains; I live high in the mountains and I have zero reception....it's very annoying!!
Posted by: Brain on December 15, 2009 at 12:19:21
Jay-Have you ever seen how high some of these chair lifts go? Most of the ones where I live would surely kill you if you jumped out of them, or at least cripple you.
Posted by: Kacey on December 15, 2009 at 13:05:56
Jay Sure jump off and break their legs possibly even die.

It's a very good movie, I saw a screening of it and it's chilling. One of the few movies that actually made me quiver a little. And yes, reception and frostbite play a huge roll. And for those saying why not just jump, all I can say is, at those hights and with what lies scattered beneath them, why the hell would you?

Reminds me of the poster for ALTITUDE.

That's a terrific poster! Looks intriguing and sells the idea. Count me in!

OK, looks exciting. Truthful, hardly. Yes I live in a Ski Resort town so it is kinda lost on me. For what it's worth, all the cell towers are located where? At the top of the Ski Resort. Tall mountains work good that way. Whenever lifts are shut off, patrol inspects them just for these reasons. Forget the fact that the lifts run revolutions after the fact after the resort has closed. And a resort closing for a week in the winter? How about the beach closing all summer. Open Water, Snakes on a Plane. At least its original.

open FROZEN water
Posted by: t on December 15, 2009 at 20:08:39
Instead of "Should do for skiing what JAWS did to swimming", doesn't it make more sense as "Should do for skiing what OPEN WATER did for diving"?
Sounds like a frozen OPEN WATER, yes?

ooops, did see that someone already
made the connection...

@JD
Why would they carry a cellphone while skiing? Wouldn't you run the risk of squashing your shiny new 3G iPhone or Android in an accident? Also, the awful reception on mountains?
Why would somebody carry a cellphone while doing sports is beyond me...
