Zombie Talks Werewolf Women of the SS Film

Can't say we're surprised by this.

Of the faux trailers presented in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's Grindhouse, three were being thought of as feature-length films: Machete (now in production), Thanksgiving (in development with Eli Roth) and Rob Zombie's Werewolf Women of the SS which featured the likes of Nicolas Cage, Udo Kier, Sybil Danning, Sheri Moon Zombie and Bill Moseley.

Well, you can scratch that last title off the list. A Shock reader sent in the following:

"Went to Akron, Ohio last night to catch Rob Zombie on his Hellbilly Deluxe 2 tour," says our tipster "SapGoblin." "He's apparently got a new song titled Werewolf Women of the SS and to introduce it, he addressed the movie itself as something that 'the powers that be killed it. Decided it was too shocking to show the American people.' That of course was answered by boos...to which Rob said, 'I know, but that's Hollywood.' He then said he "stole a few minutes of the movie and crammed them into another called Grindhouse, which some of you may have seen." So, then Rob Zombie and company played the song of the same name, while the entire trailer for Werewolf Women, as seen only in the theatrical release of Grindhouse, played in its entirety on a big screen behind the stage! Cool to at least see that again!"

Werewolf Women of the SS was supposedly being groomed as a comic book series, but we have no idea where that is. Take a look at the cover art here.

Well, I can never go back and watch Grindhouse and get the same effect ever again. They were faux trailers, leave them at that, Machete is acceptable, giving it was in the beginning but leave the 3 in the middle alone. ****ing Hollywood.

He "stole a few minutes" of a movie "too shocking to show the American people?" There is no movie to steal minutes from. He just made the faux trailer.

As much as I'd like to believe this movie would indeed exist, I think Zombie's comments were meant to be taken as tongue-in-cheek.

not necessarily true...look around on the net. There's tons of rumor/info that claims Zombie indeed made a 40 min. movie short that he then pulled from and cut up for the trailer. And that's old news. I was looking on Ebaya, etc. for stuff over a yr. ago! The news is Zombie saying the studios shelved it!!!

Maybe Rob Zombie ought to set up shop for his very own movie studio/production company just to get the films that he personally wants made(TYRANNOSAUR REX,WEREWOLF WOMEN OF THE SS)and released, since he knows that the fans would rather see those two projects made into films than that in-the-works BLOB remake.

And I'm sure that Rob might even make a music video of that WEREWOLF WOMEN music video of that song(if given the opportunity to film one).

Sounds like a load of crap to me. I never heard anything about a Werewolf Women movie being made until Grindhouse came along. I think Zombie is just pulling everyone's leg here.

Grindhouse was the horror equivalent of Ishtar (a movie so bad it's legendary) For every Pulp Fiction there is a Jackie Brown, for every Reservoir Dogs there is a Deathproof and for for every Sin City there is a Spirit! (I know its not Tarentino, I was on a roll).

Zombie is already a tired movie maker, his red neck drunken white trash rap is old. And I was hoping he would be the guy to create something new.

WTF?!! Jackie Brown was the ****! Deathproof, ehh.. Inglorious Basterds, ehh. Yea, those weren't very good.

Thanks for the info, sapgoblin.
If Zombie does have a forty minute short, hopefully he'll be able to break it out eventually, maybe as a bonus DVD to one of his future CDs, etc.

For the nay-sayers...that quickly cry foul and dismiss, this is just ONE example that's been out there for awhile. I guess you're just not fans!!!

But anyhow, in 2 seconds on the web you can find this site... http://www.tarantino.info/wiki/index.php/Werewolf_Women_of_the_SS

"In a recent interview with Zombie, he confirmed that over half an hour of footage was shot for Werewolf Women of the S.S. "

And even on VH1.com there's a Zombie interview where he says..." it's so short that you don't really get a sense of it, but if you saw the longer version of it, you'd say, "Well, I'm watching some real movie about Nazis. Oh, wait. There's a werewolf. What's going on?"

But anyhow, you guys that just post negatives are always right...so I must've made this part up too!!! I don't need to convince you guys that are just here to argue...
