Resident Evil: Afterlife Teaser Trailer When?

November 13, 2009

Just before wrapping another day's work on Resident Evil: Afterlife in Toronto, actress (and "Alice") Milla Jovovich revealed when we can expect a teaser trailer.

"There will [be] a teaser trailer in theaters in January, is what I just heard," she said via her Twitter account.

Director Paul W.S. Anderson is expected to wrap shooting in December. The fourth entry in the Screen Gems series is being shot in 3-D and co-stars Ali Larter, Spencer Locke, Wentworth Miller, Shawn Roberts, Boris Kodjoe, Kim Coates, Norman Yeung, Kasey Barnfield and Mika Nakashima.

HELL YEAH!! this movie is going to be AWESOME! they are specifically taking steps to try and appease some of the (IMO, whiny) gamers for this movie (Wesker's accent, Claire red vest w/ flames etc etc etc.). i think this will be the best RE movie yet!

they can add all those things to try to please us ''whiny'' gamers(weskers accent, claires vest) still doesnt help that all the movies suck and they added a stupid ass character like alice with her karate moves and death stare....wow how cool...

Count me amongst the whiny but not a big fan of these movies. The first two are kinda fun and exciting for what they are but given the depth of the Resident Evil story I think a whole lot more could have been done with it. I got nothing against the movies but take the "Resident Evil" title off of them and let someone else take a crack at the franchise.

''the steve'' and ''nezluv123'' u two are probally one of the few who have made good comments on these movies, its like resident evil 4 and 5, i love them but they need to take the resident evil off the title, because those two arent no resident evil games, just solid good action games, kind of like the first two movies....so again thanks u two for actually making and talking some sense

what i meant was, they should have called the movies resident evil, o and i heard a rumor that anderson was wanting to adapt metal gear, i hope kojima shoots him b4 he even begins to think about a script, i understand him messing up mortal kombat, and i was extremely pissed that he ****ed up the first alien vs predator, and again felt like i got hit in the face with the movies he calls ''resident evil'' but if he makes metal gear...its going to be so bad, because he will end up adding milla(his wife) and instead of snake we will have a kung fu action woman....which again i say adding ALICE in the resident movies is one of the worst ideas ever, its like if they put busta ryhmes in a michael myers movies and he did kung fu moves....o....wait :(

I am one of those rare people who love both the games and movies (I also love the books, comics, etc.) I see the movies as a seprate RE story that you should not compare to the games. I do like the games better but the movies are great too. However there are some things I don't like about the movies. Like the Alice clones and Nemesis turning into a good guy. But those are just little things I have a problem with. Overall I think the movies are awesome and will be at this one opening day.

OMG... I love the resident evil movies,I think they are awesome. Especially LOVE the Action/Fight sequences.... I cant wait for the new one It Gonna ****ING RULE... I am crossing between the idea of the Alice Clone, Im like Oh yea it will be awesome.. Then Wait that is Kinda Stupid.. So i guess i gotta wait to make a judgement on that..

Well iawesome Resident Evil 4 follows up with what happened to Wesker, Ada, an Leon after RE 2 an RE Code Veronica. RE 5 explains how The T Virus an G Virus came to be. They came from the Progenitor virus. Every virus in every game has had different outcomes the one thing that has been the same is the zombies RE 4 an 5 had zombies but not your I am going to eat your face type. I liked the First an last flim I thought the 2nd was just bad maybe cause I had this view on how things should be when it came to adding stuff in from the games. I know I am not the only one who has seen this but why in the First film when a Licker eats human uninfected flesh it mutates but never did in the 2nd film? Anderson when you are going to make a chain of movies don't bring in an idea that was the big end of the first movie then not touch upon it in 2nd. I really wish he made these movies better who knows maybe when we are 50 someone will come around an remake these an make them better. Anderson stay away from MGS please I don't think I can handle you making another video game adaptation movie. Only movie i think you did a good job on was Event Horizon an that was 1997 wtf? Oh by the way would love to show your wife a good time ;)

milla is gr8 for tweeting all the news cant wait for this movie itl b the best out of them all now all we need is some more set pics

Ok, I like the whole "same basic world different story" approach to the movies. It's obviously a braod scope story with large world-wide implications so I can see the world of the games and the world of the movies co-existing without ever actually intersecting (in fact, that makes me enjoy the movies just a little bit more). But I would still personally love to see a darker "haunted house" style thriller in the style of the first game. Like I said before, the RE universe is so ripe with characters and plot and a lot of fun/scary stuff could be done in a creepy old mansion with some decent prosthetics and probably half the budget of the first movie.
Just my personal opinion but naysaying aside I will admit I have still seen all three of the films and will probably rent this one as well when it comes out.

all of the resident evil movie haters are so retarded. stop hating on the movies of resident evil. it is a good thing that it isn't the same like the video games because it has it's own style and a great storyline. i definitely really want to see the hunters make their first appearance in this film though.

Posted by: Darkone on January 6, 2010 at 20:34:37

How in the HELL! can they continue to make Resident Evil movie without having the HUNTERS! appear for those who aren't fans of the games that's the reptile like-men. Please someone please get this massega to Paul Anderson.
