DVD Empire debuted the DVD cover artwork for Ti West's critically acclaimed latest feature The House Of The Devil. It's not much different then the primary theatrical one-sheet Magnolia released for the movie Halloween weekend, the only addition is the positive quote on the box.

A quick search on Amazon revealed the release date is set for February 2nd, 2010 for both the DVD and Blu-Ray. The House Of The Devil stars Jocelin Donahue, Tom Noonan, Mary Woronov, AJ Bowen, Greta Gerwig and Dee Wallace.

The movie was not very good, completely boring to be truthful, and there was never a burning house in it like the cover shows.

i actually really liked this movie. yes, i agree, it's a VERY slow burner and nothing major really happens til the last 15 minutes of the movie but it was pretty good and West totally nailed the late 70's early 80's look. PERFECTLY! and i LOVE the cover art!

Looking forward to this release. Heard it was slow for the first hour, but that would fit the mold for a throwback flick.

The movie was well made. The acting was great and it was a treat to watch, however my only issue was with the slooooow buildup and the payoff at the end - they could've beefed up the ending a bit with some more satanic ritual stuff. I like satanic ritual stuff.

The greatness of the movie really is the early 80s style it's shot it. Worth buying on that premise alone. I love a slow build up, but it wasn't quite eerie enough for me, and the climax felt unfinished and unfinished - then again, I guess that adds to the whole 80s feel.

Muy buena pelicula de horror. Genera unos climas muy interesantes y mantiene la expentativa en todo momento.
