Paris to Youths: Stop Drinking, Make Horror Movies!

Youths boozing it up in Paris are being asked to kick the bottle and pick up a film camera to make mini-horror films. It's all part of a campaign against kids taking part in binge drinking.

Much like the sample short film you see below - found at the campaign's website TheBing-LeFilm.com - organizers are looking for shorts that are five minutes or less and "illustrate the damage that can result from guzzling large amounts of alcohol at great speed."

A city hall spokewoman from Paris said they were seeking fiction horror films only. So no real drinking is to be involved (the fact they had to say that cracks me up).

Apparently binge drinking in France has risen 10% since 2005.
