First Image from Dark Days: 30 Days Of Night

This first image from the 30 Days Of Night sequel Dark Days courtesy of SPWAG/Stage 6 and photographed by Chris Large has been making the rounds on-line, but we tracked it back to Ain't It Cool News.

Below is your first look at actress Kiele Sanchez as the new Stella Oleson, taking over the role originated by Melissa George in the first film. Directed by Ben Ketai, the sequel was co-written by Ketai with Steve Niles and based upon Niles graphic novel sequel of the same name.

The cast also consists of Mia Kirshner (playing vampire Lilith), Diora Baird (Night Of The Demons), Rhys Coiro (Straw Dogs), Harold Perrineau, Troy Ruptash, Jackson Berlin, John De Santis, Marco Sorian and Katherine Isabelle (Ginger Snaps, Freddy Vs Jason).

Oh I just love how they replace actors in movies that are spose to be a start of a trilogy how are fans spose to respect a series when they (The Film Makers) keep replaceing actors from the first movies

That would be like Irvin Kershner taking Harrison Ford out of Empires Strikes Back & replaceing him with another actor..

OH HOW I LOVE HOLLYWOOD!!

Evil Luckey, so what should they have done? Melissa (i'm only assuming) did not want to return for the sequel. so they just shouldn't make this movie (and the 3rd movie assuming this one does well on DVD)? i was totally hoping that the awesome Melissa was going to return but she didn't. maybe this movie will turn out to be decent. Kiele is pretty good (watch her in A PERFECT GETAWAY).

DJ I totally agree with you, if the fans demand a sequel you have to go with what you can get. I would watch this sequel regardless of who they cast.

this has always been something that was going direct to dvd. so why would anyone from the original cast want to be a part of that. u would think that they would want to capitalize on the popularity of vampire movies right now and have it released in theaters. not to mention the movie gained even more popularity when it hit dvd. gained alot more fans.
