Exclusive First Look at MTV's Savage County

Grisly, dark, menacing. Exactly the type of photos you'd expect to see from a film that pays tribute to Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. That's alright with us.

Yesterday, Shock Till You Drop broke the news about MTV's upcoming horror film Savage County directed by David Harris. To follow that up, we've got a trio of official pics to share.

Savage County follows a group of small town Texas high school kids who play a prank that accidentally kills an old man. They're then hunted down by the man's family of murderous hillbillies. The film will be broken up and rolled out as a web series in February.

Pic #1: Willard (Jimmy Crosthwait).

Pic #2: Kasper (Pat Cox) pays a visit to Caitlyn (Bekah Graf).

Pic #3: Orry (Jeff Pope) gets a moment alone with Angie (Ivy McLemore) in the Hardell Basement.

wow, this is exactly what i like to read when i wake up and check out this site...information on ****ty mtv movies that nobody cares about...No offense ryan but your site loses cred in my eyes everytime you cover teeny bopper fake horror **** brought to us by a reality tv whore like mtv...i cant be alone on that

We try to be thorough and cover everything in the genre, Eo, and not everything is going to be to your liking.

Out of the 20 headlines or so we dish daily about various other films, this site loses credibility because of one film you disagree with our coverage on? Seems a little absurd.

Here's a thought... why not skip and just not read the one MTV post, and move along to the other 19 horror posts instead? Problem solved!

I LOVE YOUR SITE RYAN. IT KICKS ASS. WHAT GETS OLD IS ALL THE PEOPLE CRYING ABOUT REMAKES AND ****. FACE IT PEOPLE-REMAKES WILL CONTINUE. IF YOU GO BACK IN FILM HISTORY THEY HAVE BEEN DOING REMAKES FOREVER. FOR EXAMPLE:KING KONG CAME OUT IN 1933 THEN IT WAS REMADE IN 1976,2005 AND MANY OTHER TIMES IN OTHER COUNTRIES. PERSONALLY I HAVEN'T FOUND A GOOD SCARY MOVIE IN YEARS. BUT SOME DAY SOMEONE WILL START A TREND OF GOOD HORROR. IF THE SUITS AND CASTING DIRECTORS WOULD STOP TRYING TO GET "PRETTY MTV PEOPLE" AND GET GOOD NORMAL ACTORS MAYBE HORROR WOULD BE GOOD AGAIN. THE STORIES ARE WEAK AND CHARACTER DEVELOPEMENT SUCKS.
70'S AND 80'S HAD GOOD STUFF. THE 90'S KILLED HORROR....BUT LIKE A ZOMBIE....THEY WILL COME BACK STRONG SOME DAY

hey guys. now i am a bit biased because im in this thing, but in all honesty when i was approached about the project i thought the same thing. oh its gonna be the hills with blood. then i read the script. script is a good solid horror script and believe me i have read more than my fair share of crappy ones. then i spent weeks on the set and I truly believe this will be a quality piece. if youre looking for teeny bopper horror you wont find it here. i havent seen the final cut yet but i hope youll give it a chance and not just condemn it because mtv is involved. like i said...i felt the exact same way as you when i heard about it so i dont blame you....and im aint crying but remakes sucks balls.
peace
pat

I absolutely love this site! If there is something posted I don't like, who cares. Somebody else might like it, and who the hell am I to judge.
