This news is genuinely surprising to us. According to The Hollywood Reporter, filmmaker Mel House's indie horror flick Walking Distance has undergone a title change just on the cusp of this week's AFM. It'll now be called Experimental Activity, no doubt to capitalize on the involvement of actress Katie Featherston, one of the two leads of

Katie Featherston...uh really? Her acting wasn't exactly solid. I definitely wouldn't go so far as to call her the 'fastest-rising star in the business.'

Whatever credibility the movie had before the title change is completely gone now. I'd think they'd want people to see the movie because its good, not what the title is. This will be on the Blockbuster shelf next to Paranormal Activity collecting dust forever.

Seriously? With a cast that full of genre vets and a synopsis that reads as a tribute to Silent Hill/Lovecraft, how can you go wrong?

Ok in response to these comments, I ask, what was the last film either of you (HA or Mr. Jive) made? Walking distance is still going to be Walking Distance domestically, the name change is for the foreign market. I'm sure that sitting in your mom's basement, and working at the local Love's rest stop, you have plenty of time to criticize the work of others. Good Job!
