Download the Nightmare Jump Rope Theme Ringtone

Source:New Line
October 30, 2009

Nearly every horror nut we know has John Carpenter's Halloween theme as their cell phone ring tone. It makes for a confusing mix up at events when one of us gets a call.

Well, New Line is now offering an alternative. For the first time, Charles Bernstein's Nightmare on Elm Street "jump rope" theme - you know, "one, two, Freddy's comin' for you..." - is being made available as a ring tone.

You can purchase this catchy lil' jingle by texting the word "Nightmare" to 71777.

The song is based on the nursery rhyme "One, Two, Buckle My Shoe" which was first published in London in 1805 and is still used today to teach children to count...and to warn them that Freddy's coming!

The ringtone will be available through all major carriers. Standard messaging rates apply!

So, I bought it. It's not the creepy version from the original film (Or any of the other films, I don't think). It's some crappy redone version. It plays "One, two, Freddy's coming for you. Three, Four, better lock your door. Five, six, grab your crucifix." And that's it. It doesn't even play the whole song! Wtf?

Needless to say, I regret buying this. But I don't blame you, STYD.

That's all...
